Help With Idling Problem

I have a 67 Mustang with a 200 L6 3.3l engine and a 1 bbl carb. It was running fine til the filter got clogged. I replaced the filter and it ran fine for a little bit, now it will not run at an idle. It will only run if I have pressure on it and accelerating. I am still getting pressure from the fuel pump, and I am still filling up the fuel filter, it's one of the glass ones with replaceable cartridge. And gas is getting into the carberator I cleaned the carb out, the jet, the bowl, everything from the top end, and it is completely clean, the filter is clean. Basically everything up to the carb is clean, so is the top end. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with this that you may think. It's not a vacuum leak, cuz I checked that, and all the lines are in place. I am quite certain it is not an electrical problem. Can someone give me some help? Could it also be bad gas? Reply soon. Thank you.

Isn't there an idle speed screw you can adjust on the carb?

Sounds like a vaccumm leak. Make sure all the hoses are hooked up correctly and routed right. I had a similar problem.

all hoses are hooked up and routed right. I didn't change anything except the filter after it went bad, also raised the idle and that doesn't help. anything else?

Alright got it fixed, it was a couple things. 1. some water from the gas. 2. the float getting stuck. 3. the choke being too open. and 4. The spark jumping from the coil. Got all these issues fixed now and it runs great. so no more help needed.

Glad you got it all fixed!

One time my engine cut out on me for no reason. I checked all the fuses, the ignition and everything. But then I found a connector leading from the battery to the cab of my truck unplugged. I plugged it in again then it worked fine. I was depressed for about a week after that...
