Fantasy Land (Not as bad as it sounds)
1 Attachment(s)
Ok, backstory time. I have always been a very imaginative person, ever since I was a little boy. Perhaps it was because I my real world was so small that I was forced to explore worlds which, at least so far as other people are concerned, only exist inside my mind. Well, everyone but about one person, who also happens to be the coauthor of this book in progress. Growing up, we would spend every summer playing the same game.
We called it Fantasy Land. (For all our creativity, you'd think we'd have come up with a better name, but eh.) To be honest, we did play other equally-straightforward named games, like the Witches, but they were all really just extensions of our main world, Fantasy Land. And then, one fateful summer, we didn't go back to Fantasy Land. Society has a tendency to tell teenagers not to make believe. Fools. Well, now that we are in college and have come to know who we are as people, we have begun to look back to see from where we came. I tell you what, we were some damn smart kids; and, in hindsight, even the handful of other kids who got dragged into our world just played along, they didn't get it. So, in an attempt to recapture our lost youth, we have decided to write down a story set in the world of Fantasy Land. In many ways, it is our story, because, in many ways, Fantasy Land was our childhood. As early psychologists were so apt to point out, children play to solve problems and to explain and understand their world. So, without further ado, the first chapter in what I hope to be my first book to actually get finished. G. |

that is a pretty intense story for an eight-year old to make up. great writing! keep it up

Its not a direct transcription. It's more that we are going to take this world we created and write a new story using a lot of the imagry, a lot of the character concepts, and the spirit in general of the game.
