This is really the first time I've stepped out semi-publicly and published my poem to people, other than the person whom it was written for. Thanks.


Thoughts of Preciousness

I speak to you, my words are fumbled,
I listen to you, my ears demanding,
I wish I could hold you, and feel your warmth.

Your alluring voice, pulls me towards you,
As I cling to your every word,
Your voice fades, as my heart whimpers.

Your careful voice, guides my feelings,
Through the winding path, to the heart,
As the strings of emotion, are pulled taught.

Dreams fill my mind, thoughts of admiration,
Thoughts of endearment, Thoughts of love.

But my thoughts prevail, yet emotions grow strong
I cannot walk in front of you, nor behind,
But we can walk together, side by side.

You are my first thought with the breaking sunshine,
You are my last thought with the glistening moon,
You are my every thought, from here to eternity.
