Unexpected loveliness
 

A world of white and cream
fragile pearlescing tubules
a curving lace to adorn
a winding path
in a round, pillared hall.
Just open the plated brown door:
the insides of a cockroach couldn't be more beautiful
no bones, no red blood, no stench
but light and soft
just white and shimmering cream.
