nutrition facts?!
Who makes the "nutrition facts" label that goes on most food? It seems like requiring each company that makes food to have a special chemist/nutritionist to chemically analyse all their food and make the label would be really hard. Likewise, standardizing something like this would be really hard, and you'd have no way of guaranteeing the validity of the "facts." Then again, if an organization like the FDA did it, they'd be SWAMPED with every new food product ever
created... I can't seem to find anything online, so who does it? (and what determines which food needs it? neither my salsa or beer have it, but my apple juice and tortilla chips do..) |
I currently am looking at this for a product I'm going to bring to market for the Christmas season and then if it sells well I will then offer it to specialty shops in the NYC area and hopefully beyond.
There are FDA approved nutrition analysis centers all over the country. they are certified to follow FDA guidelines. Each charges fees to get the nutritional analysis done, and there are different kinds of testing that is done, from the nutritional analysis to shelf life from what I can recall uner 100,000 units of product sold per year does not need to have nutritional labels... |
ummm the FDA has guidelines for food labeling. what do you think the FDA is for?
try using google. |
... read it again.
