Saturday nights in Anaheim?

I'm going to be in Buena Park/Anaheim area Saturday night with the boyfriend and I'm wondering what's around there (besides the typical touristy crap). We're going to get there probably mid afternoon to early evening. Any ideas? Knott's Berry Farm is for Sunday, but sittin' around on a Saturday night in California doesn't sound like tons of fun.... I know there's stuff to do.. but what?

There are a few outdoor malls, such as the Block and Irvine Spectrum. Lotsa good places to eat too---all the waits for food are like 2 hrs a piece, so most of yer night will be used waiting.

Also the beach, at night its still not too cold. Like 60 degrees.

How far is the beach, and is there anything around there that's good food? If it's not too far of a drive, maybe we can catch the sunset?

Taking a drive on Mulholland Drive is definitely a nice way to see the sunset, and you can get out and see the Hollywood sign from a vantage point. It's a bit of a drive from the Anahiem area, but it's worth it.

Do you have a general idea of what you might want to do, like do you want lots of activity or do you want to relax? Also depends on how far is far. The beach is probably a 25-30 minute drive. If you want less driving to stay closer to Anaheim you could go to a baseball game or Downtown Disney which is what Cynthetiq is talking about. I don't know Orange County very well though.

I forgot about downtown disney the jazz club is called Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. DD also has Rainforest Cafe, and some other really long line stuff.

The Beach is only about 20 mins down the freeway.

Irvine Spectrum - Teh Cheescake Factory, PF Changs
Fashion Island in Newport Beach - Hard Rock Cafe, another cheescake factory and pfchangs, Daily Grill, Thaifoon
South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa - Jerry's Deli, Wolfgang Puck's Cafe
The Block in Anaheim - Tutu Tango, Market Broiler, Alcatraz Brewing co.

There's also a Ruth's Chris and a Yardhouse in Irvine right off the 405 and Jamboree near UC Irvine.

Hope this helps
