Disney World....

I am taking the family down to Disney over christmas and haven't been in about 3 years. Was wondering if anyone had any input on new attractions that are a must see or anything that is a complete waste of time. Thanks in advance.

I was there 15 years ago, so I can't help you. It was a good trip, but the weather sucked.

Just stumbled across this...

Disney World: The old favorites are still the best: Haunted Mansion, Country Bear Jamboree, etc. Space Mountain is probably a bit too intense for the kids. And there's a new space simulator that supposedly recreates zero-g, though some people have gotten sick on it. (Personally, I can't wait to try it!) 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is gone now, though. In its place is a meet and greet area where you can get your picture taken with the characters.

Epcot: Haven't been there for years, so can't offer much advice. Sorry.

MGM Hollywood Studios: My favorite part of the park, but it's more targeted toward adults. If you and your wife get a day to play, be sure to try the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Aerosmith Rock & Roller coaster. The later is the best roller coaster I've ever been on.

Animal Kingdom: Skip it. A rare flub by the Disney studio.

Hope this helps.

I would agree with everything but that. I liked that park when I visited a few years (4...5?) ago. The safari ride was cool!

A friend just returned...I haven't been there in 4+ years.

My friend says Mission:Space is now operating at EPCOT and it's worth a try.

The winter is the BEST time to go!! Does the original poster have some feedback on how his/her trip went?

Went to Disney about 4 months ago. If you plan to go to Universal studios also, go there last. I went to Universal first and it blew Disney away.

Although its not *Brand new*, Wilderness Lodge is an AWESOME place to stay.

Typhoon Lagoon is a blast! Do not miss it if your are going to do water-related activities.

Re: Animal Kingdom

The DBf and I live in Orlando and have annual passes to Disney now, and I've had a chance to really see Animal Kingdom. I think one of the problems that people have is that there are very few "rides." There's a LOT of things to do, just that a lot of them are shows, or paths to walk through while seeing animals. I'd recommend going.

Here's a couple good Disney sites:
