Gym Balls

Does anyone have one of these suckers?
http://gymball.com/graphics/composite.jpg

I got one for my birthday, the other day, and they're pretty damn good. I hvae been sitting on it for the last 2 hours or so, just on the computer and its really good for your back, abs, cloits, doits and general posture. Hmmm, it seems i will forever be refering to cloits and doits now, when i list muscle groups :p
(if anyone missed what plan9 posted, this is it http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail77.html )

Yeah, so i haven't really tried many other excercises on it yet, although just sitting here, it's fun to jump/move around abit etc on it. I have a really big one as well, like 70 cm or something, which is cool.
So yeah, looking to have some good times with my new ball :p
Good TImes :D

I bought one for my wife for her birthday last year (she asked for it). We love it. I have replaced my computer chair with it. There are free exercises at www.swissball.com

I paid $50 Canadian last year, I saw them at Walmart this year for $20 (Canadian) with a pump. I think there are quality differences though.

I had much different images about what this post was about when I read the subject .

I thought it was some sort of testicle injury thread..

I use to have one of these, paid between 30 and 40 bucks for it. I then returned it to the store because I believe they are just a waste of money. Most of the exercises performed on it can be done using simple house hold items. Also these things are very dangerous if not laid on a flat, hard, dry surface. When I first got mine I laid it on the carpet in my room and did a few dumb bell presses, the ball slipped out from under me and my back along with two 35 pound dumb bell's hit the floor hard. Don't waste your money on these folks, just buy or make you a small bench.

The New York Sports Club I go to has these. My trainer has be do some exercises with them. Overall they're pretty useful if you know how to use them. Like Remy said though, they can be hazardous because they can slip.

I guess it depends on the type of material and grip they have?

I've been using mine on tiles and it has a pretty good grip to them so it hardly slips at all? I've found that my feet will slip before the ball does.
For the most part though, i've been using it as my new computer chair :D

I was at the H.K toy fair in 2002. The price is generallyinfluence by the quality of the valve.

The balls are cheap to make but the valves are the pricy part.

Cheap valves leak air, and can give, but if you do not mind pumping them up go with a cheapy.
