Aero beds, anyone have one?
On my good nights, I sometimes have an extra person in bed with me. My stupid twin size mattress is too small for me, let alone another person (although it does mean we have to sleep close, which is nice). I am wondering if anyone has one of those Aerobeds that they show on TV. The price difference between a queen sized air bed and a normal bed is pretty big. How do they hold up when you use it every night? And how do they hold up for the other things you might normally use a bed for?

We got one for use at my mom's house. Only used it a couple of times, but setup and breakdown are just as easy as they say, and it is pretty comfortable to sleep on. The biggest disadvantage is if one of you is a restless sleeper, the motion will transmit even more than on a spring bed. Especially if you have to get up to take a whizz, the bed will shift significantly.
Haven't had sex on it yet, so I can't tell you about that. Probably pretty bouncy, however.

I have the queen sized one. Its nice to sleep on, but not so good for other activities. Firmness, as you can guess, depends on how much you inflate it. I prefer a softer surface to sleep on, but that also means that pressure in any particular spot brings you closer to the hard floor. Take that as you will. And a friend of mine was 'staying over' with his girlfriend. He mentioned to me that the aerobed was inferior to the leather couch. I hope he cleaned up.

I bought one from Fred Meyer's - the local Walmart like store. It's actually a Coleman Camping inflatable bed. The bed and electric pump are less than 100$ US. I've had a few guests sleep on it and they are all okay with it.

I keep one tucked behind my chair and ottoman, and if anyone spends the night they have a comfortable place to sleep. No complaints so far. :-D
edit: no one ever said i won a spelling bee.

Ugh, I remember sleeping on one of these when I stayed a few nights at my grandma's house. I had never been on one before and I jumped, rather, belly flopped, on to it. HURT.

I keep mine in my dorm incase people come and visit, so they have a place to stay. I have slept on it a few times and its comfortable, just make sure if anyone else is sleeping on it they don't move around. Otherwise, you won't get any sleep.
