Does anyone own them? are they worth the money they cost?

I live in Arizona, the land of women in short denim skirts and ugh boots. I don't personally own any but I know a lot of people love them. If I had the money I'd probably buy a pair of these:

I'm interested to hear what others think of them.

Yep, but I won't be caught dead wearing them outside the house. The ones I have are a little higher than ankle height. Toasty warm feet in winter

I can not understand for the life of me, why in a world of so many footwear options a woman would ever decide to put those things on her feet. Though not a dealbreaker they're certainly a turn-off.

I think regular Uggs are horrendously ugly, but the ones cadre posted look comfy. To each their own, I suppose.

My daughter was dying to get a pair of these. Until she found out they were made from sheep (not exactly sure how she found this out, or if it's true) and they cost a lot of money. She found what we call Ugg-alikes made by Airwalk, sold in Payless, for a lot less money, same look, no sheep. I wasn't going to argue with her about the sheep, since it meant spending less money.

your daughter is correct. they are made of sheepskin. I also agree with Manic, they are horribly ugly.

This thread seems like a spammer magnet. That's the nicest thing I can say about these boots.

Just that eventually some spammer with extra Uggs to sell will be along to try to peddle their wears in this thread. But that's my problem, not yours. We have a bunch of similar threads, and the attempted spam in no way detracts from the discussion.

That doesn't make me like Uggs any more, though. I find them hideous.

Sorry I didn't know. My daughter wants them for Christmas and I am not sure that I want to spend the money. Thought I would find out more about them from other people. Again I am sorry.

Amethyst, my daughter loves her Airwalks. They look just like Uggs but for 1/2 the price. She is 13 and in middle school. If your daughter really wants them, maybe you can look for those

edited to add: I just asked her if any one said anything to her about her boots. She said one person mentioned there was no tag like on Uggs, but no one made fun of her or anything.

Sorry for what? You didn't do anything wrong. You asked a question about something that spammers target. This is a perfectly valid thread with a decent OP and good responses.

Sorry if I made you feel like that wasn't the case. I just hate Uggs and was trying to be funny.

Thanks so much. That helps me so much. I would just hate to spend this much and have her feet grow. I too think they look silly but, I am not in middle school. Thanks
