Need advice on an internet date-long distance one

it is started from chatting on internet after got contact from one of popular dating websites called only for people looking for serious relationship. chat has went well and we started to think of possible meeting up in the future (we are in long distance). the chatting stopped for some days since he went to a 2-weeks holiday in Mexico.
now he came back. our internet chat is continue from the day 1 he got home and i still feel well with chatting with him. I was joking about his trip and popped out a question if he had any trip romance at our first-again-chat. (not did on purpose when i joked about his trip, but i did feel self-foolish). he replied yes without much hesitate, told me that he liked someone from Mexico and he does not know what will happen in the future between them, but they did have grt time together. he siad, however, it would not be easy if want to have coffee with her again. he told me he likes me and often thinks of there would be a future meet-up with me. but he would like to be honest with me about his trip romance and hope it would not ruin the possible future between him and I. when we said good-bye on internet, he said he hope there is chat again soon.
I told him I am jealous about that lady. I like him but never said that to him, but I guess he feels I like him since I agreed there is a future meet-up. I am pretty confused by his saying now and do not know what i should do.
