What are you thankful / grateful for?

I searched for 'grateful' in thread titles and came up with 'Another Blonde Grateful for a Cock in her Ass.' So I think I can make a new thread.

As of now, I'm thankful/grateful for:

my dog
my home
candlelight
a boy
hair on my head

Oh my gosh, I have so much to be thankful for...it's been a hard couple of years for me.

My parents - I feel so blessed that they are both still living.
My friends - I have the greatest friends that show true unconditional love.
My job - It's hard work, but has great perks I would miss otherwise.
My home - There were times I didn't know if I could keep it.
My cat - He's like a ray of sunshine.
The kindness of strangers - I have been amazed at how very cool complete strangers can be.

I'm sure there are more, but those are my top few.

No matter what I've done, or what has happened, I know I've never been unloved. I am so very grateful for that.

My mom. We annoy the hell out of each other most of the time, and we're completely different... but she was always there for me growing up.

My childhood. It wasn't perfect, but I was safe, loved, and happy.

My friends. They're amazing, and sometimes I wonder why they put up with me.

My life. The opportunities that were presented to me both by my parents and in life.

My health.

My ability to think outside the box and beyond what society limits me to think [or am I just thinking that I'm thinking beyond what they want me to think?:orly:].

The thing I'm most grateful for right now is this:

I'm in the application process for Naval OCS, and I'm extremely grateful to even have the opportunity to undertake something like this. My life long dream is finally becoming a reality, although slowly and extremely painfully.

World's King 10-23-2009 02:21 PM

That was a nice post ^ :).

Spartanx9 10-23-2009 03:34 PM

Truth be told, not too sure about what I'm grateful for.

Maybe my job, but other than that, not too much I am grateful for nowadays.

I was beginning to feel much the same as you. I think it is important to take the time once in a while to consider it. It can make a world of difference.

Halanna 10-23-2009 04:23 PM

I'm thankful/grateful that:

I've matured with age
I've learned what is important and what is not important in life
I understand the value of money and how to save/spend/invest
I'm no longer young
That I can learn something new every day. I have no limits, except for time.

I've had the opportunity to live, to hate, to learn, to explore, to question, to wonder but most of all, to love.

World's King 10-24-2009 05:44 PM

I'm thankful for...

I got to see Larry Bird play the game.
Guinness
At one point someone decided to stop doing whatever they were doing and decided they needed to be an inventor.
The wheelchair
The walker.

Questions that make me think about shit like this.
The light bulb.
I WANT THAI FOOD!!
When I was younger, the way everything smelt like it was supposed to.
The tastes of things to come.
I want candy.
Foul balls at the bottom of the ninth.
Extra food from Taco Bell, you didn't order it, they're morons, you win.
Her smell.
The weird dreams I've had the past two weeks about pasta.
Did you just see that guy in the purple shark costume?

crystalan 11-04-2009 07:08 PM

I am thankful/grateful for:

My Parents: They are not perfect, but who is?
My Sister: She's amazing, like me in so many ways and yet completely opposite at the same time.
My Childhood: Sailing, vacationing in Hawaii, having musically talented parents, long weekend trips planned only a couple days in advance, etc.
My Friends: Who have become extended family, and for dealing with my craziness! :)
My Boyfriend: Who has taught and is teaching me so much about love and myself, and even though I've had doubts, I can't wait to see what comes of the future.
My Job: In these hard economic times, so glad I have it even though it's not my ideal job.
Weight Watchers: I lost 60-70 lbs. by following their program and have kept it off for quite a few years now.
And finally, Food and Sex: Ummm, do I need to say anything else about this one, think it's kinda obvious?!
