trip to Mexico
hello, i'm new in the forum and just finding out how it works! i'm off to mexico this summer in August and i know it's the hurricane period. Should i be put off by it. or are there place less risky. What are your tips. Also, what would you recommend as an itenary for about 2 weeks? Would like to do cultural stuff and also relax on the beach. Will also volunteer for the last 2 weeks of august. Maybe you have tips about that too! thanks!

Alaska's less risky for hurricanes but more so for earthquakes.
Parts of Mexico have little chance of being hit by a hurricane. Hurricanes are very survivable if you pay attention to the authorities and go where you're supposed to when you're supposed to. I've been through 3 in my life, all as a tourist, and while it can be uncomfortable, I'm still here with nothing more than a story to tell my friends. August in Mexico, especially the Carribean side, is hot. |
