Mosquitos
I've heard that you can help ward off mosquitos by eating the right foods. Is this true? And if so, what foods/drinks are good/bad to eat if you want to keep them away. Also, does alcohol make a difference in the same outcome?

Garlic works....used to eat a clove a day during my climbing years...worked wonders, but damn.
Rubbing laurel leaves on your skin is effective as well....smells a hell of alot better too.

I've heard that vitamine B helps. But I've also read that it's a crock, and that the only effective mosquito repellant is DEET.

fckm is right. Taking vitamin D always helps a lot, at least for me. Whenever I go camping or something, i start taking vitamine B like 2 days before. It actually gives off a sit of a scent when you sweat, so it wards off the mosquitos... But yeah... most people can smell when you take the stuff so I only recommend using this when you are out in the wilderness or something.
BTW: dont get freaked if ur urine is really bright yellow... ur just pissing out whatever your body did not take in.

I might add:
The blackened cajun pike we had was delicious and had an effect on the state bird. I just wish my eyes would have stopped burning sooner. The coleman bracelets <sp> work well for a buddy of mine. The coleman coils worked AWESOME in the cabin. No real bad smell. Sometimes, when nothing seems to work, break out a nasty cigar. Especially when the fish are biting. Just remember to stop smoking when you get home. We gots sum serus skeeterz ^ her.

There are a lot of foods that will attract mosquitoes, basically anything with lots of potassium in it. As for warding them off, not sure. I am from northern New Brunswick Canada; you just get use to it

It's entirely body chemistry related. I, for one, am rarely bitten by mosquitos regardless of what I eat, while my Mom gets eaten alive. Just dumb luck on my part.
