Pop Overs and Pop Unders
 

Does anyone know how to get rid of pop overs and pop unders?

Popups I can deal with but these other damn things are driving me crazy!

do you mean those advertisements that just pop up on your sreen and have no way of closing until they are done?

dont use internet explorer...

ive been using mozilla firebird for the past few months... havnt had a single pop up the whole time...

If you must use Internet Explorer, get the Google toolbar! It blocks pop-ups, fills in forms, highlights things on pages that you searched for, and has a little google search box.

One handy feature is that it can be set to notify you when it blocks a pop-up or pop-under, so that in the rare event that it's the kind of pop-up you need, you can get it by hitting Ctrl.

Guard IE takes care of my popups - its the popovers and unders that I'm trying to stop. The crap from Specific Pop - usually an airline, or morthage co - AmEx-

Popupcop kills all form of popups/unders.... stops dialup programs in their tracks as well as any auto download program, and has a history kill/clear cache......

I definately recoment the google toolbar. It has a built in pop-up blocker, plus a bunch of google stuff. I use it soley for the blocker though. Works great, and you can turn it off real quick if you so desire.

Yeah, Google stops them all, pop-ups, pop-unders, pop-overs, etc. Some site won't work right if it's turned on so you just need to click on it to disable it.

Only way to go.
