Aquarium fish food

Does anyone know if I can feed Tropical fish food to my goldfish for a few nights? I can't seem to find time to make it to the store. If not, is there anything around the house I can use?

Thanks!

No problem at all for a short while. In the long run the tropical fish food would not have enough of the specific nutrients that make goldfish thrive, but it would take a long time ....months.... to have a problem. Strange as it may be, I have a couple goldfish now for over 5 years in a 30gal tank with guppies of all things, they live peacefully though the gf might pick off a few little guppies now and then, who knows. But I see the gf go after the Tetra tropical fish food pretty aggressively, so they like it ...just not the total balanced diet for them.

PS: I suggest the tropical fish food over breadcrumbs though breadcrumbs would be better than starving to death

There is absoloutly no difference between feeding your fish general tropical or general coldwater foods, you'll only possibly notice a difference if your using specialist feeds.
