Another Lone Ranger/Tonto joke..
 

I haven't seen this one around either.

The Lone Ranger and Tonto had been chasing a rogue group of bandits across the prairies. Everytime the trail seemed too cold to follow, the Lone Ranger's faithful sidekick, Tonto, would leap down to the ground, gaze about and find the way. The Lone Ranger was amazed that his little indian buddy was as resourceful as he was.

A few days into the adventure, the two had hit another seemingly impossible wall and it looked like the bandits were lost.

"Jump down off your steed, Tonto, work your magic and tell me what you hear." The Lone Ranger cried.

Tonto jumped off his horse and without hesitating pointed East. "Bandits that way." he said.

"How do you know?" asked the Lone Ranger

"Branch broken, piece of white man's face cloth tear." Tonto replied and sure enough off up the hill there was a definate path and the scraps of a handerchief were blowing in the wind.

"What else?" the Lone Ranger asked.

"Running water up ahead. Bandits make camp." Tonto said.

"How do you know?" asked the Lone Ranger.

"Hear water. Smell smoke" sure enough when the Lone Ranger listened he heard running water and smelled the smoke.

"What else?" the Lone Ranger implored.

Tonto searching desperately for something new to impress his kemosabe knelt and stuck his head to the ground to listen to the earth. A few seconds later Tonto says, "Buffalo come."

"Amazing!" cried the Lone Ranger, "I bet you can hear the vibrations through the earth, huh? he finished looking remarkably pleased with himself.

"No." Tonto replied. "Ground sticky"

Arggghhh! I love LR/Tonto jokes. Good one!
