Hey just got half life 2 and yawweee that cool..

But its not what this is about. In half life 1 there was these balck ninja smooth operator chicks who the hell was they...

And they cant be with the soldiers because they where killing each other to...

And i mean that in the end of blue shift or was it opossing force. Where they blow up the black mesa with a nuclear bomb

I think they were part of the combine...but i'm not sure, but here is a neat link i found a while back with a lot of story information about the half life universe

Well i dont want to read any spoilers so im wating till i have completed hl2

The black assasin Chicks you are referring to were part of the Marine Core that was sent in. They were members of the special forces Team. They arent associated with the Combine at all. They attempted to blow up Black Mesa with a nuke in HL, but Gordon Stops it, if I recall correctly.

Actually Homey_V, Corporal Shepherd in the expansion Opposing Force kept them from setting off the nuke.

Was it shepherd? Its been so long since I've played either HL or OpFor so I'll have to take your word on that one. I was just pretty sure that the nuke didnt go off.

Yeah, you remember the part where you were underground and you encountered a security guard behind a locked door that said "Are you crazy? I'm not opening this door until that bomb's disabled?" After going around the corner and taking out the covert ops troops in the back of the truck, you have to then disable the bomb, which kept Black Mesa from getting wiped off the map.

It was shepherd... See, I remembered that being in HL, but I remember it properly now.
I had to take out one of the spec ops guys with the wrench... Damn lack of ammo.

You took out a spec ops guy with a wrench? Goddamn, you're braver than I am. :crazy:

Well to be fair, It took about 15 reloads and a helluva alot of circle strafing...
I got real good with that wrench... And really, it wasnt a matter of bravery so much as a matter of I have no other options left. I was only using the quicksave and no matter what I would always run out of ammo so I was SOL.

Well then its blue shift where you drive in a car away in the ending and in the background you se black mesa blow up...

and i am sure that black mesa was destroyed...

Edit: Off course i remember now in blue shift you see G-man arming the bomb again. And around the truck there is a lot of dead special ops so shepard must have been there...

You can't have it spoiled. They never explain the story so there is nothing to ruin! Infact, reading what the story was SUPPOSED to be will help the playing experience letting you know what some of the stuff they don't explain really is.

Well just completede hl2 and i must say the ending is just awsome...

Thanks for the link. I wanted to go back and replay HL1 almost just so I could see the story unfold again. Didn't want to spend the time though really. so this helps a lot.

I'm pretty sure they weren't Combine. I think they were extra troops sent in by the government to wipe out all survivors, including the marines, and nuke the place to get rid of all evidence.

I say this because I remember seeing spec op's guys and gals shooting at marines.

Blue Shift's story is not generally accepted as part of the Half-Life storyline, because it was developed completely independant of Valve, by Gearbox software. Valve did lend a helping hand on Opposing Force, though.

However, I'm with you on this one. I think Black Mesa was destroyed.

at the end of opposing force when your in the plane with the Gman he mentions he may have a use for you and then theres a white flash, which i thought was the blowing up of the mesa facility. specially cause in hl2 one of the scientists is all messed up and they have shoddy little bases instead of a huge building.
