It's just a classic. |
Mario brothers.
|
Currently playing through HL for the first time. That was made back in 98' so I guess that's pretty old. 6 years anyways.
|
Going Back
I still play Raid over Moscow. Old C64 game.
|
Mario (1,3,Super Mario World), Donkey Kong, Sonic 2, and A Link to the Past (though this is the first time I've ever played it... amazing game, I should have played it back when it was new).
|
And now for something profound. I play Life.. seriously I've been playing a lot of Tetris lately, it could be something with my all Taco Bell diet. God bless the Game Boy and it's talent of just sitting there.

lol! River City Ransom...when i was a kid my 2 friends used to play that game everytime...i remeber i couldn't kill a single bad guy.
I have Fallout 2 on my comp, I bought number 1 and number 2 in a 2 disc set from office depot for 7.50. pretty good deal. i played threw the 2nd one 3 times now i think. counting this time. i just got to NCR. Shining force, what a great game, upgrading your chars, that was awesome, brings back some memories but i haven't played it for years. |
river raid for the atari 2600.
still waiting for a sequel... |
I'm playing through Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link for the first time on its GBA re-release. I had thought that I was going to get through a lot more of it at the polling line today but I was in and out in half an hour so that didn't happen.
I do a Zork or other Infocom IF game every once in a while, I own a collection of them on CD-ROM. Never could get into Nethack. |
The oldest games that i still play are Tetris and super mario world for Gameboy. Sometimes i play them on old school gameboy just for the hell of it.
|
Baldur's Gate (Original)
Master of Orion 2 |
Was just playing "Gorillas" at work. It's a game written in MSDOS QBasic and came with that OS.
|
bubble bobble on MAME
|
on a console: Dino Crisis 3...
|
System Shock 2! Yay!
I had Quake2 around here somewhere. I can't believe there are still people playing it. I'll have to dig it out. I remember playing at work and everybody had silly skins, like Bart Simpson, Big Bird and the alien from Alien. Funny as hell. Does it run on XP? I know with System Shock 2 I had to jump through some hoops to get it to work at all. |
Scorched Earth.
mine sweeper p.s. Anyone know a good scorched earth update for windows? |

Another older game i play: Quest for Glory 5: Dragon Fire |
Final Fantasy IV.
|
Steel Panthers. Yes it is the World at War version, but it has its roots back in about 1995 or so. Plus it is free. Now that can't be beat.
|
Quest for Glory is awesome, the whole series, and I'm down with one of those every now and again.
But for me, it's usually breaking out the old Street Fighter II action. That, and (if I'm in a really old school mood) Impossible Mission for C64. "Stay awhile! Stay forever!" |
starcraft / broodwar
|
Baldur's Gate 1 - I just got BG2 from a friend, so I'm playing through the series
|
I remember being blown away by the first(?) text-based "RPG" called, "Adventure." I now have it on my PDA - it's still a lot of fun.
Marathon on my Mac is still fun. Then there's Tetris. |
tetris, almost daily.
|
goldeneye and alice.
if i had my old nes hooked up right now that would be a different story. |
Tecmo Bowl, Doom, Wolf 3-d
|
For FPS, I still got Quake 3. Don't play as much as before though.

Caesar III.It totally kills your life for months at a time. Then, when you look back upon it you think "What a boring game", safe in the knowledge that you'll never make the mistake of installing it again. Problem is, you will and you will love it.
Far better than Pharoah, too. |
Sometimes CS v1.5 on LAN. But not very often now.
|
Usually I've been sticking to playing emulators like MAME, NES, etc. For PC games i've stuck to the following, original counterstrike, Command and Conquer, Diablo II and the only reason for that is one of my friends computer can't really handle any more than those.
|
i play vampire the mascarade bloodlines, half life 2, and counter strike source...
um they all came out with in the last few weeks... |
The oldest games that I go back a play are:
Secret of Mana Final Fantasy VII Chrono Trigger |
Hmmmm.....I still play Age of Empires, Starcraft. Some games are just made too well and become classic.
|
Warlords2 was the hole reason I bought a pc back in the day.
Fallout 1&2 civ2 I used to play tecmo super bowl all the time I forgot all about it. I am going to have to bust out the old NES again. I hope it still works. |
ooooooohhhhh, river raid for the atari 2600. been playing for almost 20 years, still can't get past the 6th board.
|
I just started Beyond Good & Evil on the Cube. Killer game, great graphics, great story, great gameplay and great controls. I highly reccomend it to anyone.

Doom, Wolf 3d, Dark Forces, TIE Fighter, Twisted Metal (PSX)
|
Panzer Elite. It's modded to the moon, but when it doesn't crash it's fun in it's own way. If not this game, Aces of the Deep (1994), at least until Silent Hunter 3 comes out.
|
Colonization.
|
Oregon Trail! I downloaded a ROM and played a bit ago at work. Ah, the memories.
|

I still play Diablo II and Counter-Strike... I keep getting the urge to install StarCraft/Broodwar one last time for a taste of nostalgia, but I haven't done it yet...
Where's Starcraft 2 damnit! |
Diablo and Heros of Might and Magic 2, got bored of my current games and went old school.
Almost forgot Ninja Turtles, Final Fantasy, and Zelda (gold) for Nintendo. Every dorm room needs a Nintendo! |
