wolfenstein: enemy territory
any players out there? fav class? maps?
my favourite class- engineer, they are such an important class and responsible for "winning" most maps. fav map- gold rush, navarone, caen, bulge |
I used to play it rather extensively, but that was a few months back. I used to like medic, as it's a support class and not many people take it.
Back when I played it was just the basic set, desert campaign and German set or whatever. |
yeah me too. my fave was medic or a soldier with a panzerfaust.
fave map would have to be the one on the beach with the bunkers.. |
I' played it months ago and my fav map was gold rush. Favorite class was medic.,running around sticking people with syringes.
I DL it a couple of days ago but was turned off by the constant mortar in the spawn camp bullshit so I uninstalled it. |
I, too was an avid player of it when it first came out and was just the basic map set. For a while, I was one hell of a medic, and getting very good at Field-Op, too.
I tried playing it a few weeks ago, though, and was disappointed. I used to love it for the teamwork feel to it, but virtually every server I tried had either a poorly made map, people who had no desire in meeting the objectives, or the common "XP-Save" mode turned on. Joining a game with 4 star everythings just isn't fun by any stretch of the word. If you can even get past the half-dozen Field-Ops who do nothing but spam airstrikes on the spawn point, you'll have a hard time doing anything remotely useful in accomplishing the objectives. But that's just my take on the differences between then and now. |
I still play fairly often and have ever since the beta with one map came out. I usually stick to limited life, elite clan servers like ND80 ones. My favorite classese would have to be panzer and covert ops. Each demands a certain finesse of timing and accuracy. You can find me out there as One Man Army or Joy Division. I recommend trying higher quality servers if your attempts to play the game have been plagued with bad players, campers, and idiots.
|
yea, you do find those lame xp save servers, they piss the hell out of me.. but finding good servers is really fun..
|
ET is awesome, love to play medic
dont play enough tho to be real decent at it tho gotta find decent servers with good map rotations! |
I like to play engineer for allies and usually medic for axis. When you can find a good server it can be really fun but most of the time you get stuck with constant arty in the spawn and team mates who only want to get XP. My two favorite maps would have to be Fuel Depot and Siwa Oasis.
|
is W: ET good? I haven't heard anything about it.
|
It's free, so you might as well try it. You don't even need "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" to play it. Go to the Wolfenstein website and download it from there.
Now I never really cared for it because by the time I played it, everyone was arty spamming the spawn points. So I just unistalled it. Edited: Sentences for easier reading. |
I play ET occasionally, its still awesome and beats the hell out of things like CS - I just occasionally have problems finding decent servers or low ping ones that will actually let me in :P
|
Such a sweet multiplayer game released for free too. I play occasionally, but most of the time I play online shooters its one of the many great half-life mods like sven-coop or natural selection.
|
I love to place this game. My favorite class is engineer and covert ops. I really hate it when people just use motars and air stikes only, but it's a effective strategy. My fav maps ar fuel depot and gold rush.
|
i used to play this extensively a long time ago... anyways, i've always played mainly as medic or engineer depending on the number of others in the same class. favourite one was where the axis have to defend the bridge, then the base.
|
I still play every once in a while
