Final Fantasy 7-2?
 

Ok guys, as all square-enix fans we know that FFX-2 is the first sequal to a FF game. Is it possible they will actually work on a FF-7-2, prequel or sequel?? I read some post from a Square guy and he said that it was unlikley becase they would have to create a new final fantasy engine, unlike FFX-2 where they just kept FFX engine.. Now i think that they should use FFX's engine and make a FF7-2. Thoughts?

Nope, I don't like it. I am not going to say anything about you either, because it is mean, and extremely rude.

The problem with using the FFX engine for the FF7-2 game is that they are two completely different games in play styles. Generally, you want a sequel to be the same as the original, with only a few differences and a couple of good enhancements. The FFX engine is a completely different system than the older, outdated FF7 engine.

Oh yeah. and I forgot to say that I didn't like FF7

I'm sorry DrZeaius, that I insulted you. Even though we're both from Tulsa and we're both very good friends in reality, and I was making a post as a joke.

I actually think it would be cool if they made FF7-2 out of the FFX engine, and DrZeaius knows that, but apparently we're not allowed to joke around with our real life friends on this message board.

I couldn't agree more. If they did they'd have to keep the same engine. But I think FF7 was a great game, a sequel would be great.

I think it all depends on how well Final Fantasy X II does. Final Fantasy X II has done excellent in japan, and if it does good in America also, I think FFVII part 2 is a shoo in for creation.

i think not...it would ruin ff7...ff7 ended perfectly...why add more

Theres nothing wrong with reusing the characters and the major themes of the game. Maybe bring Aerith back to life and make a new story line for her? She could kill Tifa or something, and Valentine could go insane.

they need to make a short film/ game about Vincent Valentine from #7, the rest of the characters can stay dead

They could use the clever "It was all a dream" idea to make a 7-2 ;)

Sorry to get off topic a bit, but how are we to know that you know him in real life.. If you want to joke with him, do it in a PM if it's even remotely "off colour". Otherwise.. you'll get edited, or warned, or banned. Now say for instance i called Spleen a Franch Pussy :) We both know it's a joke.. but maybe you didn't. It just looks like im being an ass.. just like your edited post did. So dont get all weepy and look for sympathy here. It was a edit.. a LOT worse things could happen to you for being rude (or underage, or trolling, or spamming, or pretending to be a female, etc..etc...) So...RELAX! :D

Im really tempted to lock this thread altogether before it gets out of hand.

Long time ago, Square announced a bunch of games among which was FF VII-2. Then later that year, due to some big financial problem (the movie they made I think), they've cancelled a bunch of games. We never heard of FF VII-2 again. I would've loved a sequel to that game. Best characters design ever.

Alright, I'm sorry. I won't make any more playful derogatory comments towards anybody, including my friends. This forum obviously isn't as "liberal" as most of the other forums that I visit, so I'll just keep my jokes to myself.

you're right.. your friend is cool, I just didnt want two people questioning Spleens reasons for the edit. So he's fine. You on the other hand are adifferent story. If you like the community here, you'll learn to play by the rules.If you dont like it, then you are welcome to hand out at those other forums you like so much. As staff here we are responsible for looking out for everyone, and these types of general etiquette rules go for all of us. Admins,mods, members..everyone! I've been edited for doing the exact same thing before i was a mod, but i didn't question the decision by the people in charge, let alone publicly challenge it. You need to learn the pecking order around here. So until I am informed otherwise by MY supriors.. consider yourself PUIBLICLY WARNED :)
