Ut 2004 Problems
 

The game just wont start. It loads up the UT screen like its going to load but then it dosent. I replaced the CD rom drive thinking it was that, did defrags and now im just outa ideas. Im a try and reinstall it, but dang I was excited to play this....

any ideas?

Hell if I know. Sounds like a driver issue to me. Seems that every damn problem in a game is a driver problem. Do you have the latest video drivers installed?

Yeah just dled the new MB drivers, video, directx . Did a reinstall, still not working. It dosent give me an error message, it just dosent start. Hmm, I might just reinstall windows (and lose my precious KOTOR).

Oohhh you're scaring me. I'm about to install UT2004 this weekend, never considered the possibility that there may be problems...

By chance could you not ahve enough RAM? that is the only thing i could think of besides video drivers. I ahve also heard thre are more complaints about problems from people using ATI cards than all other problems. I do not know if this is true, but from most of the questions and fixes I have seen, it seems to be. Just rember as with most games Update the video drivers.

Reinstalled windows. It installed ok. Game runs mega slow online though, time to upgrade I guess.
