Touble with GTA III/Vice City on Xbox - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

So I just got the GTA III/Vice city pack, but they won't load... when i pop 'em in they both make it through the intro animations, and then stop during the initial loading screen. (and always with the status bar in the same spot). I have tried every thing I can think of and from what I can see, others are having this problem with no answer to why or how to fx it... Any of you guys encountering this? any answers?

How old is your Xbox? I've heard about problems like this and the usual problem is an Xbox that's starting down the road to "dirty disc errors". I've read that the laser starts getting weak and/or misaligned and won't read games properly...

The console is only about 2 weeks old...

Where'd you buy the game? If it was from EB you can actually return it and get another copy and see if you still have the problem.

Got it fixed ya'll. Get this, it wouldn't play because the clock was set to the wrong time... go figure...

You'll have to expand on that answer!!! Do you mean that you'd never set the clock so it showed that the game hadn't been released yet cuz the time was off by a couple of years?

Might have something to do with the in-game clock but yes, do explain! Sounds very interesting!
