Anyone here play Outwar from time to time?

It's quite fun if you get a couple friends and attack each other for a while.

If you ever heard of that Mafia game where you send the link to a friend, and it shows, "<your name> has broken your fucking legs!" and stuff? and then they become your thug and what not.

It's kinda like that but you can buy guns and gang headquarters and such.

I've heard of it. I've heard alot of it. I've been serverly annoyed by it.

I agree, you might want to remove the link. It is technically Site Advertisment, and it is a Link=Points related game, which is a double wammy.

Outwar's not so bad, but some people go to extremes to get hits. (As in Flooding IRC channels)

I've never been on any IRC chats. Maybe I'm behind the times. :(

Most other forums I visit have a thing that it's an INSTANT BAN if any outwar(or games like it) links are placed. Well, ones to up one's power or whatnot...

Yep, seen many g-lines in irc(and a k-line i think) cuz of stupid games like that.

I saw my friend play outwar and it looked interesting. However, the idea that to get bigger someone has to advertise outwar is ridiculous.

One guy spam's his link all over the place and brings in more people. Then those people do the same and it just multiplies from there.

After those people join they can click through advertising, buy software, or simply pay for points if they want to be bigger than everyone else.

I'm sure the guy who made Outwar is making quite abit out of this. Because of this, I refuse to click any outwar link or play the game simply because it encourages people to spam everywhere.

Sorry for the rant, it looks like it might be fun to play. I sure won't be playing it.

It's retarded as hell you have to spam just to get more thugs.

Oh well, you can click your link at the start of a new day, and if you and 5 of your friends do it to each other, you each get 5 new thugs a day.

Every time someone pastes an Outwar link in one of the IRC channels I'm on (which, thankfully, seems to be less frequently lately) my desire to inflict grievous bodily harm upon its founder grows.

Lucky for him I'm far too lazy to actually do anything more than bitch about it.
