I tried playing Age of Empires again recently but discovered the game play was soooo much slower than even AoEII and AoM that I had to quit...it just took too long to get anything done.
I still enjoy playing AoEII from time to time, though.

Well it looks like some frineds and I are going to LAN through Serious Sam this weekend. Nothing like spending a Saturday with some friends twitch gaming powered by Mountain Dew and sugary snacks. Maybe we'll play through Serious Sam: The Second Encounter another weekend. Good times, good times...
As a side note, I see that Serious Sam 2 (not SS:TSE) is coming out soon. Sweet. Hopefully more developers will use these absolutely beautiful game engines. |

FALLOUT and FALLOUT 2. Right now Im going through FALLOUT 2 with a massacre character: no quests, no BS trading or talking, just wiping out every city I come across.
Maybe I should seek professional help

Maxis Sim-Tower Speed Rage & LemPaint Although, I can't stop playing FreeLancer and Morrowind (GOTY Edition)... probably due to the fact that both have a BUTT LOAD of mods written for them.

Ahhh, I LOVE old games, because theres the fun factor that keeps bringing you back, with the added joy of all the good memories associated with them.
Every couple of months, I find myself playing through Fallout and Fallout 2 again. Easily my favorite RPGs ever. I can't wait for Fallout 3! Its being done by Bethesda Softworks, which is the same people who did Morrowind and that entire series, so I know that its in good hands... I also play some from when I was little, from time to time, from the Super Solvers series. Most notably Gizmos and Gadgets, so simple, but so much fun, Number Munchers and Operation Neptune. And just today I reinstalled Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Classic game that never gets old (to me atleast). If you like that series, then be aware that a Heroes 5 is in development. (yay!) Another one is Gazillionaire, very fun trading game in space. Thats pretty much it. |

Hehe, my friend picked up Oregon Trail at a garage sale this last weekend. I'm looking forward to installing it on my computer and giving it a go.

You can pick up the Apple IIe emulator and the Oregon Trail ROM at the above link. I played it a few months back and actually made it all the way to Oregon - something I never accomplished back in junor high. Good times, good times. |

Oh and I just bought UT2004 from GoGamer for $12 or something ridiculous like that. I haven't installed it yet though. Thats pretty old. I was playing the original UT a couple months ago with some other guys after hours at work. Ran well on our work machines. If you install the last patch for the orig UT it doesn't need the CD to run so we could get a decent LAN game going without using a cracked exe.
Not exactly cool to the developer of the game, but...
