gotta say the new limit on melee in versus mode really sucks.

how did you get the headshot kill on the witch? we have tried it with several different guns on most of the difficulty levels and we only manage to piss ehr off just about every time.

Works best with approaching her from behind, with an autoshotty, lights off, and getting her in the head.

I have the game for both pc and 360, I'm insane like that.
I can't play the 360 version well, their controller is chunky and my reflexes are poor with it. Especially shooting. stupid trigger.

And to answer your question Gabby: its just the satisfaction of having them all completed. You get nothing when you get all achievements.
But because I'm done them, I mess around on the altered servers, lots of fun.

And the new content is expected in April. :)

But it doesn't look that impressive. No new campaigns, just a timed survival add-on where you get the infinite horde control, and see how long you last. Not my thing. And they're recycling all the old maps. There's only one new one for survival: The Lighthouse.

I am looking forward to the map-creator though. It'll be sweet to create maps/campaigns :D

Pelican controllers have better sensitivity, you should try them.

Man, those new "tweaks" are tough to deal with, especially the melee thing. That 1 second or less wait feels like hours when 15 zombies are ripping off your flesh.

you ain't kidding man. but at least its only limited in versus mode. you can still smack the crap outta the zombies in campaign mode all you want.

It looks like we can expect DLC sometime tomorrow (new versus maps, new Survival game mode) and the SDK soon to follow... this info is coming from Valve though, so I'm making sure not to get my hopes up.

This game looks ridiculously fun, but a game with no single player component is half a game in my view, and I can't justify spending $50 on that.

Hopefully it'll go back on sale soon.

You're correct, it IS ridiculously fun! My brother plays L4D in single player and still enjoys it quite a bit. It's not that it doesn't have a single player, it's just whether you choose to play with bots or with other people. It's the same maps, same rules, same gameplay experience, but without the human interaction.

Oh, and I suppose you can't play as the Infected if you're not playing online versus.

Almost strange to think there are people who don't have broadband. Why not?
