Big Brother - boring load of bollocks?
 

I'm not overly impressed with BB so far this year. None of the housemates have particularly grown on me, and there are few with any redeeming features at all! Has the aim to get "sexy and single" turned into "mindless and boring"? :rolleyes:

I am trying not to get hooked onto it this season, although channel 10 are showing it alot so I am bound to catch 1 or 2 shows. This lot (from what I read in the paper) are trying to shock- could be a tactic-not sure.

I haven't yet watched an episode of big brother.

Though, I actually watched bits of australian idol last year, until chanel got kicked off.

Well I am a bit of a big brother virgin, as we didnt get it when I was living in Darwin, and I have to say: WHAT IS ALL THE FUSS ABOUT ??? it isnt that great and to me the girls seem a bit......................well.......................can I say this..................slutty. !!! hmmm. I dont mind the look of the logan boys, but to be honest thats all I would watch it for...........to perve. I think if you have the time to sit and watch it with them it can help them to learn a lot about life. The shoulds and the should nots so to speak... huh?

I'll just say that you can influence their thinking about certain behaviours and the fact that they have a visual reference, it's something they can relate to and therefore any lessons or directions will stay with them as they get older... :thumbsup:

but i think you can teach your children things like that without making them watch porn on tv... oh and, if you do it more traditional ways, like, just living life, socialising... then your children might not learn as fast, how to vote, and blindly give money to these silly, greedy, television stations.

Big brother isn't realistic. these people have no real responsibilities while in the house, i think teaching your children to lay around and not work, isn't great...

I've only ever watched the american version and it is definately a boring load of bollocks.

The original premise, as I recall, was to put a bunch of captivating personalities under one roof and let the fur fly. Minimal shenanigans and poor ratings have led to an increasing focus on group challenges and ever shifting eviction rules, rather than the player's personalities and interactions.

Now every episode is just an hour of tedious "suspense" as the players sit around looking nervous and blather on about strategy. Is BB the same down yonder? Or does it focus more on the antics of the players?

I wish the show was more of a fish bowl than a game show.

Finally someone to agree with me that Christie is fugly.
