Drop a letter,add a letter
The rules of the game are simple. I'll start by giving you a word. You are allowed to drop only one letter or insert one letter anywhere without changing the order of the other letters. You are not allowed to drop or add the same letter.
After me, always follow the post preceding your reply. Try keeping it going. You can go as many times as you want each with a post. However, if you can't come up with a word, you post in huge red letters NO CAN DO and you start a new word. But, if you post "NO CAN DO" , someone can challenge you. If they're right, they need to post "GOTCHA" in huge blue letters, your new word is ignored and you can't post on the game again until someone else gets caught on a "NO CAN DO" We go with the challenger's word. Challege or be challenged, that's the name of the game. Make sure you refresh the page before you post so we don't have plays on the same word. Thanks. Once a new fresh word has been started by someone and not challenged, that word is the new word. Not sure this is going to work, but let's try it. I'll work out the bugs as we go. Let's have an example to make sure everyone is playing the right way. cat (post) at(post) rat(post) rate(post) crate(post) crates(post) rates(post) rats(post) brats(post) so on... NO MOVING LETTERS - add ONE letter or DROP one letter from anywhere in the word, each time making a word and each time you make a word, you post. If you see that this example is getting too far from the end, can somebody please quote it in their post. Thanks!! Here it goes. The word is SEAT [SIZE=1]spleen edit: added example from later post to beginning of thread Last edited by meanSpleen; 05-16-2003 at 12:17 PM.. |

Yeast to easy in the earlier posts from paddyjoe to platypus dropped a y and t from east and added a y again to it. Illegal move. Add one letter OR delete 1 letter per post so we can see the change. Thanks. You all are doing well. Can we start adding more letters to make it more challenging?

cdwonderful: MOLDY to OLDLY doesn't work; you've removed (the M) and added (the 2nd L).
It's remove OR add a letter (also, it isn't CHANGE a letter either...). Or that's my understanding of it anyway! So now that we're all confused, where are we again? MOLDY --> MOULDY... Hope that's okay... |

OK, so you can drop 1 OR add 1. Got it. Can you rearrange?
