'Return of The King' has been in unstoppable form, seeing off competition from 'The Phantom Menace' in the first round, and 'The Fellowship of The Ring' in the quarters. 'The Two Towers' has beaten the 'Chamber of Secrets' and 'the Sorcerer's Stone' en route to the first semi-final of the tournament.

i love this tournament...

in this tie i'm still riding on my dislike for the Return of the King.
it was just too truncated. i'm looking forward to the extended DVD, but since this is about the Movie... i'm voting for the Towers.

After much deliberation I conclude that The Two Towers is the best of the trilogy. The spine tingling scene where the tree herders get all pissed off just tipped the scales in it's favour.

This was tough, but the two towers it is from me.

I love the battle scenes from "Return of the King". Awesome. I was exhausted when it ended almost an hour later.

"Return of the King" for me.

I have to go with ROTK. The Two Towers just pissed me off with the way it deviated from the books... I know, I know, they all deviate but TTT was just that much more odious.

I went with ROTK even though I really didn't like the way they handled Saruman, I still think it was a bit better. I just like the fact that it was a conclusion whereas the middle of the story is good, but without a true ending leaves me feeling incomplete.

It was close for me but I just loved the battle in ROTK.
