Left or Right Handed?

Are you Left or Right handed? Ambidextrous?

BBtB 06-15-2003 12:03 AM

Left all the way.

Stiltzkin 06-15-2003 12:07 AM

Some left, mostly right.

crackpot 06-15-2003 12:46 AM

Left-handed here... do some stuff with both (and some stuff with neither).

Fly 06-15-2003 05:49 AM

righty over here.

*i can jerk with both though eh.*

Peetster 06-15-2003 06:15 AM

I'm surprised at the number of lefties so far. That is odd, statistically. Does that say something about the lefty's brain and attraction to boobies?

SiN 06-15-2003 06:27 AM

righty. but i've always wanted to be ambidextrous.

mirevolver 06-15-2003 10:10 AM

Right handed, but tests have shown that my right brain is more dominant so I should be left handed. Go figure.

Actully if you look at the time of the posts I think it says something about lefies being insomniacs.

G_Whiz 06-15-2003 10:13 AM

Righty, but I am left-footed.

That's no joke. I actually use my feet like a lefty when I jump or push off of things.

izzzzy 06-15-2003 12:49 PM

lefty and my son is too.

VirFighter 06-15-2003 01:12 PM

Righty.... and its obvious too, my right arm is noticeably stronger :)

grumpyolddude 06-15-2003 03:34 PM

There's an old axiom: Only left-handers are in their right mind.

figures, I'm right handed!

RAMONES!!! 06-15-2003 07:36 PM

Meridae'n 06-15-2003 11:16 PM

Right, but i use my left hand when navigating certain sites...

Ashton 06-16-2003 01:47 AM

heh, if you really want to, try breaking your right arm. :D

Back at the beginning of high school, i broke my right arm in a tennis accident. Anyways, the deputy principal (a nasty old man) wouldnt let me have another student to write my papers while i dictated them, so i had to learn how to write with my left hand.

So yah, end result, im ambidexterous.

(I can do most activities equally well with both hands, but instinctively (like if somethings falling towards me), my right hand goes up, so i am not a pure ambidexterous type, i guess...)

sierra2774 06-16-2003 03:25 AM

Right Handed....I cannot do anything with my left hand.

Giant Hamburger 06-16-2003 06:58 AM

It depends on which brain I have selected for the day.

Fremen 06-16-2003 07:25 AM

Righty-tighty, lefty-loosey.

cdwonderful 06-16-2003 07:51 AM

right handed, although I have begun typing with my left hand on occasion..............

Midlandmadman 06-16-2003 08:21 AM

I write and eat right handed but do alot of things left, like Play golf and hockey hit baseballs though I catch right. I'm wierd.

TerresqueÜ 06-16-2003 08:22 AM

Right most of the time...I use my left...for special purposes...

BTW on an average right handed people live almost a decade longer than left handed people.

Omar12 06-16-2003 08:51 AM

right handed :)

TaiModan 06-16-2003 08:55 AM

Born ambidextrous here... write mostly right-handed cuz thats how I was taught, but other than that it makes no difference to me which I decide to use.

Fantasma 06-16-2003 09:01 AM

Right!!

Well while we are quoting statistics. It should also be noted that left handed people also make up an abnormal amount of both mentally disabled people AND people with IQs over 130.

LittleOralAnnie 06-16-2003 12:04 PM

Right handed, although it seems I can do many things with my left hand. I've tried training myself to be ambidextrous just in case I ever were to break an arm or lost the ability in my right hand.

Pheatius 06-16-2003 01:35 PM

ambidextrous...I am equally clutzified with both hands. I tend to write with my right, but I print much better with my left. Play billliards, darts and golf (badly) with both hands.

troit 06-16-2003 02:11 PM

Lefty and proud of it... One of the reason I have always liked being different than the mainstream population.

Right...but I trade off occasionally

Pyrate 06-17-2003 05:09 AM

Right handed, although I am competent with my left. I find that I can write decently with my left, as well as other things.

Sorry for the two in a row posts, but I haven't read through...

Hey, don't you use both hands to type? I even heard that the left hand is used for like 70% of typing on a computer keyboard...

Kinda makes sense.

:)

Ashton 06-17-2003 06:38 AM

Me is teh Southpaw :D

Atropos4 06-17-2003 03:47 PM

left handed here...so is alpha phi......I use my right hand for scissors, and sometimes different sports.....hmmm we both play guitar right handed though...

oldtimer 06-17-2003 04:05 PM

Yeah, us righty's got to stick together.

MikeyChalupa 06-18-2003 09:07 AM

Righty. My kid is 2 years old and showing signs of being a lefty though... better get him started now if he's gonna pitch for the Yankees...

-Mikey

rogue49 06-18-2003 09:17 AM

Left-Handed
But for the most part I can do anything with either hand,
except write & throw a baseball.

But I do all the things typical left-handers do,
I put my shoes on left then right, etc.
It's definitely my dominate one,
but my right arm is stronger, that's curious...hmm.

platypus 06-18-2003 10:34 AM

Right handed, but left testicled. ;-)

Sparhawk 06-19-2003 06:49 PM

Lefty, but I eat righthanded (because that's the way the table is set, arrrghhh)

ARRH 06-19-2003 07:14 PM

Right handed here. I can only think of one thing that I do with my left hand. All the rest is right-handed. Anyways:

"One in every 10 people is left-handed, and males are one and a half times more likely to be left-handed then females, according to Lefthanders International. Medical researchers have looked long and hard for what causes people to be left- or right-handed. Their answer? The same reason why brown-eyed people have brown eyes: genes that manifest their trait one out of every 10 chances."

ARRH 06-19-2003 07:16 PM

However my sister is left-handed, but only with writing... for everything else, she uses her right hand... strange!

Arock 06-23-2003 04:28 PM

Ambidextrous.

Write with my left hand. Equal left or right foot. I throw right but catching can be either hand. Raquet sports are left handed.

Angel 06-23-2003 04:58 PM

I am naturally right handed. However, I can use both for almost anything. I have had a few surgeries on the right arm / hand and so I got used to doing anything with my left.
If I find myself in a situation where it is more convenient to use my left hand, no problem. The left is every bit as steady as the right and equally as strong.
I use two computers at work and simply because of the way I have them placed, and my preference, one of them has the mouse on the left, the other on the right.

hawkeye 07-05-2003 09:13 PM

Right handed, but I use my left for lots of stuff

Stiltzkin 07-05-2003 11:02 PM

me loves teh quoting people... :D

In case you forgot-- righty here.

I sprained my right wrist really bad once and had it in a cast for a while. I also had to learn to use my left, but after I had the cast removed I stopped writing with my left and I lost practice... and I was getting good at it, too! ::sighs::

I've actually noticed that all of the umm... mentally challenged people I've ever met were all left-handed. Weird. My friend Steph is left-handed and she's freaking smart, though. :D

One of my best buds is left-handed but he plays right-handed. I think this sort of gives him an advantage. He says the guitar feels uncomfortable if he holds it left-handed. He tried to learn to play lefty but he just didn't like it. Some people think the picking hand is more important, others think the fretting hand is more important. Good guitarists realize that both hands are important. All I know is that I can pick faster than I can fret, so this means my left hand just isn't fast enough yet. He doesn't have this problem, since he's a lefty who plays right-handed. Do you experience the same thing?

rat 07-05-2003 11:10 PM

right handed. can do left handed for foreplay :o

hotzot 07-06-2003 05:56 PM

My brother was a lefty, my mom and dad tide his left arm down for two weeks when he was 4 or 5 and he finally started using his right hand. It totally fucked him up mentaly. We never let them live it down. They said everyone did it back in the fifties. I never ran into anyone else who did.

bundy 07-06-2003 05:58 PM

i´m a lefty.

As a lefty who play's right handed I find fingering is very fast,
Picking is a bigger challange. I find it harder to develop the rythem in my right, that is natural in my left hand.

The biggest reason I choose to play right handed, is so I can play any guitar I want to! Not just that rare lefty!

Amethyst 07-26-2003 07:45 AM

Right handed.

*pimpslaps everyone with his left hand*

My right hand is real unco, except when using a mouse or typing

wally 07-26-2003 02:21 PM

I'm left-handed (3 out of the 5 in my family are left handed, so we've got the right handers out numbered!)

Jakejake 07-26-2003 05:19 PM

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous

If this joke (very poor one at that) has been used already I apologise.

absorbentishe 07-26-2003 08:25 PM

Righty... I can write left handed, but haven't for a while. I can throw a baseball with both, better right though. My left hand types way better than my right? Go figure...

niek 07-26-2003 08:51 PM

ambidextrous.

marcopolo 07-27-2003 05:53 AM

Any urges to be left handed was beat out of me by Nuns while I was in first grade ...
as we all know that the ' left hand is the hand of the devil '.
All Righty then .

aedenji 07-27-2003 12:29 PM

Depending on what i am doing I use both.

Diablo 07-27-2003 12:36 PM

I do everything right handed, but I putt better and play mini golf better left handed, but I usually use my right hand.

Mr Scorcex 07-27-2003 03:29 PM

I'm a righty, though I drive with my left hand. I guess that stems from driving a standard.

ubertuber 07-27-2003 08:36 PM

Southpaw, but only for writing. I guess that is more ambidextrous though...

KWSN 07-27-2003 08:53 PM

Ambidextrous but stronger with (and used to) the right.

maxero 07-27-2003 08:58 PM

right handed, but i swing things lefty, and my left's fingers are more precise, i guess thats from guitar

tenchi069 07-27-2003 09:46 PM

Some things are easy and natural right handed, writing, throwing, etc. Some are left, swinging an axe, opening doors, and painting. some are both, eating, archery, swordplay.

jwoody 07-28-2003 06:16 AM

Left handed. I pick my nose and scratch my balls with the right. When I was about 6yrs old a teacher tried to make write right handed. She failed, miserably.

KWSN 07-28-2003 06:49 AM

Oh, and forgot to mention... I can ONLY play hockey left-handed, despite my ambidestrous-ness with a right-handed lean.

oh yeah 07-28-2003 01:39 PM

Just a plain ol righty.

Go_AVS 07-28-2003 03:31 PM

Righty, unless I am jerking off, then it doesn't matter...

dogma13554u 07-28-2003 05:25 PM

I'm a righty, but i'm working on the ambidexterous thing

more fire 07-28-2003 05:49 PM

ambidexterous

muckluck 07-28-2003 08:44 PM

I'm Ambidextrous!! W00t!! I'm Special :D

YaWhateva 07-30-2003 11:18 PM

I write with my left hand, i throw with my right hand, bat right handed, and i can kick better in soccer left footed.

vveronica 07-31-2003 07:31 AM

left or right handed

I'm right handed mostly but some thing i find i do better with left hand. I write and play golf right handed but in more intimate situations i find my left hand more capable... :icare:

TCB 07-31-2003 10:22 AM

A Lefty ofcourse - all geniouses are!

bobw 07-31-2003 03:52 PM

right

Rav 07-31-2003 03:59 PM

Righty...But I kick with my left foot?

Supposidly, my parents tell me I was born left handed at birth but mom and dad decided I shouldn't be...beats me...haven't cared to follow up with it either...

neoinoakleys 08-05-2003 11:06 AM

Just call me lefty...

striderkevin 08-05-2003 11:11 AM

I write and use chopsticks with my left, everything else with my right.

Mr. Spacemonkey 08-05-2003 01:00 PM

I'm right handed. Thats not to say that there aren't some things i can do with my left..............................i'm talking about jerking off.

Eweser 08-12-2003 07:53 AM

Righty

remiel 08-12-2003 07:58 AM

I'm ambi-sinister. I'm incompetent with both hands.

Although I'm better with the left than the right

agentsmith 08-12-2003 08:02 AM

I'm lefty and I'm proudy

Memphis 08-12-2003 03:40 PM

Righty here.

Speed_Gibson 08-12-2003 04:14 PM

completely left-handed. The only thing my right hand can do easily is shoot a basketball (no one taught how to me shoot left handed, can not do a layup at all or much else with that hand though)

back in 7th grade I could not even hold a pencil properly in my right fist, so I spent some months on my own and learned how to rather poorly and shakily write with the wrong hand - still can but thankfully have never had cause to.

and one of the main reasons that right-handed people statistically live 10 years longer is that almost everything out there is biased against the left hand.

YzermanS19 08-12-2003 04:50 PM

Righty all the way. Southpaws suck!

Pedialyte 08-12-2003 07:12 PM

Righty all the way FOOOLS!

cheezhead 08-12-2003 07:53 PM

right handed, but wack off left. Oh ya. i usually pick my nose with left too. Wipe ass with right thou! Always give the finger with the right too.

Yoduh 08-14-2003 12:03 PM

Hell yeah; I'm left-handed :D

Adog 08-14-2003 12:09 PM

Im a Lefty all the way......

CyCo PL 08-14-2003 12:14 PM

I picked ambidextrous because I just write with my left hand... I do everything else right handed.

bernadette 08-14-2003 04:21 PM

write, draw, eat... LEFT

but i mouse & mouse draw with my right hand. weirdest thing.

i think because it's a right-handed world i've just learned to do many things right-handed like throw. i carry heavy stuff more often with my right arm so it's stronger than my left arm, but that might be cuz i often have a ciggie or a beer in my left hand?

badflsh 08-14-2003 04:48 PM

Right, all the way!!!

zap 10-11-2004 10:43 AM

One of my friends just realized that of all the guys she's dated - we've both lost count - only two of them were right handed. So at least 7 or 8 of her guys were left handed. She's almost made it a dating criteria :)
