JPL was the last grate hope for that show and they voted him off. That blows as do the whitney houston jack ass fans in this country that didn't vote for JPL.

Yeah, he's pretty lackluster. The fact that he's been on the show this long is a testament to the shit that comes out from American Idol.

Yeah im gonna have to agree with bltzkriegmcanon, JPL wasn't a good singer at all. He just wasn't good. I dunno alot of the female singers on there right now are actually really good singers. It doesn't even matter to me anymore.

I don't think that this season is as great as the last one.

But Latoya is pretty good. Find her voice a bit annoying, but she knows how to sing. I don't even bother to watch it anymore.

I have ppl living with me that watches it all the time and they even went to the concert before. I did watch it once last week, I liked the red head.

I hope it didn't take you this long to figure out that that show sucked. :D

Everyone named John/Jon sucks. He shouldn't have made Top 12, he got sympathy condsideration from the judges because there was a lack of male talent. This remains a fact, I see no men in the Top 4. Latoya and Fantasia are Top 3 material for sure and while I don't think Jasmine is the best singer, she is still talented and my favorite contestant.

John has no range, and no power. A world-class crooner, yes, but idol-quality? Doubtful, in my opinion (which is worth less than, say, Simon's).

JPL? I think he got this far on his hair and smile alone. Seriously, George is kicking their collective (male) asses. George is the only hope for a male winner in this AI contest, and even that's unlikely, given the power of Fantasia.

I think they all suck. Then again I've never actually watched the show because the show itself sucks. So by deduction, the people on the show must suck as well. But that's just my opinion. I can't wait for that show to die.

I already knew the show sucked since its first season..but the hot girls lured me in with their siren-like voice...for 5 minutes...
I sometimes tune in for Simon's comment, don't you just love it when he brings people down like that? Damn these kids...they ruined television!!

I didn't like the show either way back when it was hosted by Ed McMahon.

all the guys on that show suck. the only ones who have a chance is the asian chick and the 3 african american girls.

I like George Huff, but he won't win. Clearly the people voting are retards or else JPL and Howdy Doody would have been gone long before today.

Every week there's at least one performance that's pretty good, which keeps it interesting for me. But, like people have said, it's a pretty lackluster year. The only thing good about that is that Simon keeps coming up with some pretty funny put-downs. Paula's gotta be the nice one I guess, but Randy seems to have all of two comments:

"It wasn't for me dawg, ai'ight." and "That was [insert praise here] dawg, ai'ight."

Well, this argument commits the fallacy of division. The properties of a whole doesn't necessarily indicate the properties of the parts. Ok, why the hell am I saying this on a thread about American Idol? I mean, I agree with you, the show sucks hard. Sorry for being a logic nazi, please forgive me.

never have degraded myself to the point of watching even a second of it, but judging by the drek that the 'winners' have spewed on the radio I must conclude that:
0) the judging truly sucks and true talent is dropped somewhere before the final votes
or
1) they all suck to varying degrees and the winners are just the best of the worst.

i concur american idol sucks. i don't mind the winners and their music though. i just can't stand watching a bunch of singers sing short 30 sec clips and then have people ramble on the rest of the time.

don't care for the music... or the hype...

My favorite part was when Simon told one of the girls "This is the end of the road for you," and she got voted off HAA!

This show sucks.
