Who is your favorite, and why....

Me, I like Bobba Fett I think he was the mack....He had the koolest toys and I love the fact that he kinda worked for himself...he was a bounty hunter...self-employed...

Princess Leia in captivity to Jabba. You know why.

I liked Admiral Ackbar, the guy who commanded the rebel fleet. He was the coolest and most plausible alien in all of the three original movies (as opposed to Chewbacca, Yoda, Ewoks and whatnot). I also liked his voice.

On second thought, I have to say that Princess Leia was my favourite Star Wars character as well . Ackbar?? What was I thinking?

I was always partial to the emperial guard. They just look like a bunch of intergalactic pimps!

Yoda.

Yoda exuded cool. He uses (used) the force better than anyone. And hes the best lookin too.

I have to say Boba Fett too. He was always my favorite. He had the little jetpack and the missle thing. Yea. Plus I never much cared for Han Solo.

i gotta pick luke as my favorite. his charcter was a lot like the mythical king arthur, and i'm a big fan of that legend.

My 3 year old daughter's favorite character is Boba Fett. I hear about him pretty much all the time.

besides that, i always liked darth vader. he just had the sinicism and evilness that i like in villians.

Darth Vader.

Han was the coolest. Without him the first three movies would have been just like the last two; interesting stories and visually impressive, but not very entertaining. A good smart ass will do that for any movie.

Also, Darth Vadar is one of the best movie villians of all time. He's a much better villian than either of the two recent movies. So credit must also be given to James Earl jones' voice for a favorite Star Wars character.

I'd have to say Solo too. I would have really liked to see Lucas jump into Solo's back story a little bit. It always seemed to be an interesting premise.

I'm also going to go with Ashton in that hot babes always make a movie better.

Solo... not the new and improved one either.. but the draw first kill greedo first one....

Like others, my vote goes to Han Solo. I agree that early Han Solo is better than the later Han. The early Han was a more complex character.

I"m sure there are other cool guys.. but i'd have to go with that REALLY HUGE FUCKING FISH... in the first movie.. He had very little airtime, but he was cool.... actually, both the one that chased them and the one that ate the one that chased them... if you followed that.

I can always give the cheap reason.. Had the fish eaten the ship... Jar Jar would have died :)

Han Solo is the coolest. Calm, sarcastic, aching for a fight and he had the coolest ride in the galaxy.

I'll add my vote for Bobba Fett after that Chewbacca

Jango Fett for coolness but Darth Vader as a character, he in my opinion is the most wel thought out and developed movie-scren villian ever. So much emotion is conveyed despite not being able to see his face. Amazing.

Han Solo for the good guy and Darth Vader for the bad guy.

In Episode 1, Darth Maul, just because he was so new and different from all the other characters, and then he goes out like a punk. For a good guy, Luke. He was the bomb in Return of the Jedi when he went to Jaba's palace.

Wedge Antilles!!!! You just gotta love Lucas's token survivor. He helped destroy 2 Death Stars, and then he even danced with the Ewoks. He is one brave man.
As for the Fetts, one got killed by a blind man with a stick, and the other looked like a pussy when he was going up against a Jedi...other than their appearance, they sucked.
Dash Rendar?!?! What a waste of a character. It's like they thought that they so desparately need the Han Solo type for the Shadows of the Empire book. So they created a disposable cardboard hero who "vanished" at the end of the story. I personally was disappointed.

i absolutely love Darth Vader, especially in Return of the Empire, sooooooo evil.

Also i love Darth Maul, double saber is the coolest thing i have ever seen, and a master of tera kasi. plus he looked like he would just eat people. i love evil

It's from Star Wars dot com, they got models to dress up as Expanded universe characters which is a cool idea. They've got a cool pic of Mara Jade too.

I think that my favorite character would have to be Vua Rapuung who is from the New Jedi Order.

However, if you're looking for a character that is from the movies and not from the expanded universe... I would have to go with:
The A-wing pilot that crashes through the bridge of the Executor (Super Star Destroyer) I forget his name off hand. meh.

as you can tell from my nick, I gotta go with the old standby Boba Fett...he was just badass in the original trilogy...except, of course, for his girly scream in the Sarlacc pit

Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi was the shit. He was wise and focused.

Count Dooku is pretty badass also from the newer movies and the mushy side of me really loves Queen Amidala and Leia.

Boba Fett - I mean, in the middle of a Space Opera, the guy comes in with his second-hand dinged-up space ship, his second-hand dinged-up armor, and kicks butt. Even the way he dies is un-dramatic and unfulfilling for the viewer.

He rocks.

Admiral Piett. I love him. He gets promoted every time somebody else fucks up and gets force-choked by Vader, and he never drops the ball until the Executor gets rammed by an A-Wing.
And I love the way he looks so nervous and hunted all the time. He's great.

um, you mean The Phantom Clones? or maybe The Empire Clones the Phantom Jedi, which has to be the best sci-fi sequel since The Wrath Of The Tribbles. :D

as for coolest character, um, i think if Young Master Skywalker and Solo were frozen in a block of ice they would be Cool Han Luke but that is an old joke. :p

i am going with Yoda for coolest character.

Grand Admiral Thrawn. Vader beats him on sheer badassness, and the Emperor beats him on the whole Evil Mastermind thing, but there's just something about a military genius who can guess his opponent's tactics by studying their artwork...

SPOILERS FOR THOSE NEW STAR WARS FANS WHO HAVE NOT READ THE X-WING ROGUE SQUADRON SERIES OR THE NEW JEDI ORDER SERIES!







Oh come on, nobody has mentioned Corran Horn?? Ya gotta love this guy, he's like the best of the Star Wars Characters rolled into one. His Corellian heritage makes him a smart ass like Han, his piloting skills is on par with Wedge's (eventually) he's the first one to own a Yuuzhan Vong leader in a one on one duel to the death, and he's got his Jedi powers, sure he misses out on the koolest Jedi power there is, Telekenesis, but hey, he can make you think an entire building is crashing down on you. His Dad was CorSec/Jedi, his in-laws are ALMOST (Booster Terrik) as interesting as Han Solo's (granted Han does have him beat there). And to top that all off he beat the Rogue Squadron version of the Kobiyashi Maru, the no win scenario, without changing the perameters of the rules. Did I mention he has a dual phase lightsaber? After all that, how can you dispute the great Corran Horn as the coolest of all characters? This coming from the guy who's wearing an all black tux with a deep green vest and tie to prom in honor of Corran.

Hmm...

Must be Darth Vader. Not as a gimped kid, but as a dark jedi with a wierd mask in the original 3 movies. :D

boba was not killed in the sarlac pit, he killed it with a thermal detonator, used his jetpack to get out, nearly died on the desert floor but was picked up by another bountry hunter looking for salvage and nursed back to heath.

read the bounty hunter chronicals it tells the story of boba VERY well

Thrawn is easily the coolest character in the Star Wars EU. Was the Emperor a better evil mastermind? I'm not so sure..Thrawn figured out how the Emperor was so successful and practically enslaved a Jedi Master clone to help him. Godamn Noghri...
