most wanted dvd's
Whats on your most wanted dvd list? Old? New? Something that hasnt come out yet but will or never will? Heres my abbreviated list ( its actually 47 movies long) Not in any order.
- Finding Nemo - Indiana Jones Trilogy - Family guy vol 1 and 2 (one day I'll have 40 extra dollars.....) - the extended LOTR:TTT - Space ghost - Futurama season 2 - X-Men 2 |
I really don't want all that much, because I'm not a movies/tv type of person :) The list below encompasses all the dvds I currently want:
The rest I'll just rent =) I hope I didn't miss anything..... |
Oh yeah, I forgot about Pirates. I want that too.
|
Indiana Jones
Star Wars TTT:EE Pirates Family Guy Season 3 The Simpsons Seasons 1,2, and 3 There are probably others, but these come to mind first. |
hehe... I could go on for a loooonnng time... :D
I've worked in sales and marketing for a couple or so home video studios over the last ten years. I currently own over 2,500 DVD's, and STILL have at least a couple hundred on my want list. However, most of my want list are simply better versions of titles I already have. |
Cruel Intentions
Donnie Darko Finding Nemo Pirates of the Carribean All the Buffy seasons :P |
Scarface Anniversary Edition
Once Upon a Time in the West Ichi the Killer Season sets of Animaniacs =) |
Star Wars Trilogy
Indiana Jones Also, I'd like to see all the older Woody Allen movies re-releashed on DVD with some worthwhile features. It probably won't happen, but I will never spend $20 bucks for a DVD with not much more on it than the movie. |

Its all about extended LOTR Two Towers (said frothing at the mouth). The extended version for the Fellowship was absolutely amazing... a vast improvement over the theatrical release.

Futurama (Vol 2) LOTR:TTT (Extended Version) The Simpsons (Vol 3) Same taste as a lot of others here ... there are more, but these are the ones that I want ASAP though. EDIT: Got Family Guy ... back to saving money. |
self, I'd like to see American Gods turned into (straight translation from) book to movie. As to dvds... Flight of the Navigator, the Animaniacs series, the Pinky and the Brain series (with commentary per episode detailing the political jokes), and the Muppet Show DVDs. Twilight Zone and Quantum Leap complete sets would be nice, too.

Ordered Family Guy Season 2 and 3 today.
Preordered City of God. :) Versus is another one I want to get. But what I really need is a home cinema set up. Mmmm 7.1 sound + projector |
Shall We Dance. One of my favorite films. Unfortunately, they probably won't put it on DVD until the God awful Richard Gere/Jennifer Lopez remake hit theatres...
|
Family Guy Vol. 2 will be joining the rest of my collection within a couple of hours
|
thanks for the info, Baldrick. I checked it out - good sets, and every ep included (if you get them all), but they're expensive as all heck. time for some christmas lists...

Snatch and Forest Gump
Would you rather have the origional origional Star Wars Trilogy(do they even make it?) or the Digitally Remastered one? Personaly I'd choose the old school version. |

Scarface, just 16 more days to go!
|
Family Guy took forever for me to get!

Matrix Reloaded
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Funky Monks |
Both seasons of the late eighties ABC TV show "Sledge Hammer". It's on laserdisc, but they're as rare as they come.
|
Most of the muppet movies:
The muppet Movie The Great Muppet Caper Muppet Christmas Carol Muppet Treasure Island The problem is that you cant get them anywhere (at least in Australia anyway). Ive asked multiple times to get them ordered in but always get the same reply. "Sorry they dont sell it". Bugger!!! |
so, i´m still waiting for Fear and Loathing to come down under... but now i´d like to add the johnny depp list by adding Pirates of the Caribbean (that was so much fun!)
and i´m also waiting for a Francois Ozon double - 8 Femmes and Swimming Pool. i´m a big fan of ozon, but finding his work on DVD down under takes a bit of work... i shall persevere. |
Isn't out and will probably never come out but The George Carlin Show on DVD would be great.
One's that are out and I need to get are: Oz - Seasons 1 &2 Pulp Fiction (I have it on videocassette) House of 1000 Corpses Army of Darkness - Boomstick Edition |
If they ever make it.
The Tick. God i would pay!!! Extended release of The Two Towers. Tommarrow ---> Matrix Reloaded :> All of tarantino films. Cowboy Bebop Complete box set. plus Movie. And a bunch others.. |
The live action Tick is out. Still waiting for the animated series.
...I think I'm among the few who actually liked the live action version though. But hey, support for that release may help in a future release of the animated series. |
I liked both the live action tick and the animated version. The comics are pretty good.

I've noticed a few DVDs of it selling on ebay, and also on this site. But I'm not sure if they are real or fake. Otherwise I would buy the movie, especially since it can't be rented from netflix. :( |
Well, as of 7 AM, I've got the Matrix: Reloaded on DVD. :D
|
Well, Schindler's List has been confirmed for a 2004 release, according to The Digital Bits (which is very reliable).
Also, The Critic is currently in production as well. I'm not sure when that's going to be released. |
