i hate to start a new thread,
but i didn't know where else to put these.

when i can't sleep, i draw.
i draw what's in my head.

here it is...

Bloody hell I love them! They're very fifties advertisement. What medium, Doodlboid? (sorry, couldn't resist the Bronx accent!)

Hail Doodlebird!

Those hamburgers move me. They make me long for the motherland.

The corn seems so happy and unaware of its impending and violent death.
I want to savage it with my teeth and use its corpse as toilet paper.
The corn might have an easy life but I would only wish its death on my worst enemy.

Being a huge fan of hamburgers, that hamburger piece makes me want a burger. I also think those would make pretty gnarly shirts.

dobster - these were drawn with adobe illustrator. i usually draw stuff by hand and then trace over that artwork to give it the smooth vector-y look i love so much. but these were both done entirely in illustrator. a few preliminary sketches, but i didn't scan those in. the corn pattern was just a happy accident. i see what you mean about the 50s style ads. it was unintentional, but it's also an undeniable influence.

desario - i'm not sure if you already knew, but to make a shirt is my goal with these drawings. you can see more of my stuff from my homepage. i'll have these new designs up (hopefully) within the week. i plan on shooting the screen to make the shirts this week.

anyone - email or PM me if you want one of these shirts. TPF residents get 1/2 price on these two new ones.

Excellent work mr doodle but what's with the extreme color mix?

i hope that they look a lot less garish on fabric than they do on screen. i haven't printed the shirts yet - the blanks come in tomorrow. i use water based paint that is slightly translucent, so some of the yellow will come through the green, hopefully softening the contrast a bit.

i'll post a photo of the corn shirt soon so y'all can see fo' yo'sefs.

Uhh please do!

Isn't it possible to do some sort of quick test of the color on the fabric before you print it for real?

Actually, I didn't know you wanted to make shirts. My friend and I are also in the process of buying our own screen printing stuff so we could start selling our own shirts. I checked out your shirts for the dudes, and I like the 2 hamburger ones and the slice of cheese shirt. And as for the shirts for dudettes, I like the "P" one. Nice and simple with the box to surround it. Keep up the good work.

I really like the simplicity of the designs. That's some awesome stuff you got there.
