Well I have signed up for a Pixel GFX compo with the titel: Dragon Fury.. So I have decided to post pictures from the creation of the picture... The reason why i do it is to get comments so I can make it better and to show all you nice people how i make a picture on my computer... Enjoy

Well its "hakket" because its an early sketch so...

And a Pixel GFX Compo is a drawing contest where you only use a computer and nothing else...

So here is an update: I have chosen to make the hole wing and move the left hand down... well thats about it...

I think red on the line of "scales" down his back as opposed to the brown. Also the top part of his thigh seems that it should be convex, rather then the concave you have drawn.

More muscle detail. May I suggest a "cat" eye? Meaning a verticle slit for a pupil?

And I think the feet need one more toe/claw, toward the back of the foot. Like a "thumb" more or less.

hmm no dont think a cat eye would do it im thinking more of this flaming fanzy in the eyes..

is it supposed to be a chinese dragon or a celtic dragon...make sure you know the anatomy differences between the two so you dont mix them up....what is the "idea" of a golden dragon?

If golden is what you're going for I would lighten the color some, it looks more like butterscotch

shanifaye: this is a WIP = Work In Progress so im going to put the color and the effest on later this is how i create a picture from the start...

Well I have always been fasinated by the storys of the gold dragons. They are these noble dragons, you could compare them with the knights in shining amour... and only use thiere strengt to carry out the good in the world...

ok...I know this is going to sound dumb...but since you are going with the celtic golden dragon....why are you having him destroy the castle in your picture?

ohh, sorry but shani has got you there, it seems that you are not taking the criticism as constructive. I am sure that no one is talking crap, but are trying to help you with advise on your image, which I feel is the main reason for posting work on the forum. but you seem put off by comments people are making.

since this is a WIP, maybe you should wait and post it when it is farther along.

so far it is comming along nicely though

You are right im sorry for not taking the criticism very good. Well this is my first WIP.

maybe i should have told yo this before:
Well the story of the picture i have in my head is about this golden dragon whos dragon whelp have been kidnapped by an evil wizard who wants to control the golden dragons but mummy is out for vengence.

Maybe i also sholuld have made the castle more evil...

Well I have somthing to work with and thats good...

I still think the tops of the thighs ought to be rounded the other way, more of a muscular look.
