Well, I just thought I'd try a landscape - having never done one before, to see what experience it gave me to do something so traditional. Comments?

Not only extremely quick (I only posted this minutes ago), but also very kind! Many thanks animosity.

If THAT is your view, I'm extremely jealous.

...and as usual, I'm extremely jealous of your talent.

Great work as always Lewis.

great work, as always, Lewis!

it's the color...the color!

sweet - real sweet...

This is a great aphrodisiac!

You guys are just so great! Thanks. It really is the greatest motivator and inspiration to hear what you have to say about my work.

Yes, the view is stunning. I spend over twenty five years without a view, and always wanting one. That's another great inspiration. I love it every day, and every day it is different.:icare:

Having never done one before, that's a really really ( I don't know how many "really"s I can put in here to do justice for your talent) really really....ahh forget it...no words can describe how good it is...
Just know it's damn good.

Thanks for sharing!

wow. you did an excellent job capturing the openness of the atmosphere there, while preserving the robust appearance of the foliage in the forefront.. awesome. and would i be accurate to say it is a good example of an "expressionist" style painting? i don't know if thats the right classification, but i love it!!

I like the depth in your painting. Specifically the layers of mountains becoming more and more distant.

pinkie 07-09-2004 01:38 PM

Wow, that is gorgeous... Truly.

ariekitten 07-09-2004 11:40 PM

hey no fair!!! someone stole all the art talent from God's talent bin! :p
wahh all i got was....hmmm i dunno what i got!

no seriously, this is amazing! i could never in a million years do create something this cool! i was almost in shock that it was a painting! :D

Thanks again for all your kind comments.

I do believe, ariekitten, that we are all capable of doing very creative art. As I think it was Picasso said, we are all great artists as children, the problem is hanging on to it when we grow up and have it all knocked out of us.

I'm sure you can do great stuff if you really want to. Have you had a go?
