Did you model the 4th one from the bottom (blue) yourself?

Well, it says it takes artwork from submitting members....Kasper's profile says 'WaWa' under occupation-that's a convenience store...
Oh, the lot of us starving artists...resorting to low-paying retail.:grumpy:
The mushrooms are cool.

I see a lot of that I've seen before made far too busy for me to even begin to figure out what's going on, let alone what is actually original work.

That. . . may be the most confusing thing I've ever seen you write. What?

;)

In that case I might suggest that you post the original along with your alteration so that we can see what YOU did, rather than wondering how much of it is yours ;)

You may also wish to obtain permission of the original artist - I know, for instance, that digital blasphemy's work is for sale, so I doubt they'd appreciate you altering it and posting it up ;)

Kasper4sale 04-10-2007 12:37 PM

true....but they still look good :), just some things ive done with adobe

telekinetic 04-10-2007 03:46 PM

I don't think shakran was saying that they didn't look good, he was saying (and I agree) that if you're starting with somone else's art and only adjusting it slightly, we need to see the original...otherwise it looks like you're taking credit for the entire piece.

I was young and confused! We all have things we aren't proud of writing :paranoid:

Yeah, taking this:

...inverting the image, sliding over the hue back to blue, and adding a slight texture filter to create this:

Should really have included the original art, or credit to the original artist. I mean, it's 3 moves in photoshop... you need to give credit where credit is due.

I'm not saying it isn't nice, I'm saying it's borderline plagiarism not to include credit.

LoganSnake 04-15-2007 06:03 AM

The only thing I have a beef with is that you include your signature on the images. Even on the ones tagged by the original artist.
