ok. i know there was a similar 'underwear' thread at one time but i wanted to make one here because, lets face it, a lot of girls like panties!

i also think it's a funny word :D

i was just thinking about this earlier because i have lots of underwear and tend to wear my nice ones more than my cotton (the kind in packs). they are my last resort if i haven't done laundry :D eventually, it'd be nice if i could throw out my cotton and just have spiffy neat sexy underwear all the time.

although at times, it's nice to just throw on those comfortable cottons every once in awhile. each panty 'type' has its purpose.

i would also like to acquire more g strings as i only have 3 at the moment. i'm always in search for funky prints and bikini style underwear is fab. so is boycut psuedo girl-briefs.

anyway, what underwear do you like to buy? i dont much care for solid colors, even if it's somethin name brand like calvin klein or victoria's secret.

what is your favorite pair?

I'm a white, Jockey Bikini-cut girl cotton all the way. :) or commando. but not with blue-jeans. ow.

I rather like the comfort of cotton undies in solid colors, but I'm also a big fan of cutesy prints and little piggy tails! Maybe I'll demonstrate what I mean by this on Tilted Exhibition. Maybe. :D

Satin and lace is also nice, but I'm just too used to cotton.

I have a ton of pairs from American Eagle. Just the regular bikinis mostly. I have a few boy cuts and I like them as well. When I wear tighter pants or skirts I go with the g-strings from the Gap. Comfy!

Mostly cotton, usually black. I like simplicity. I have some red and some blue lacy sets though for when I really want to feel sexy.

I prefer low rise cotton or satin bikinis in dark colors. Somehow I ended up with a bright turquoise thong, which is my favorite one. I don't like white. I like the boy cut pseudo-briefs too...

Thongs are the only thing I own. I think they are extremely comfortable and anything else feels really strange after you have been wearing them for so long.

Generally I like solid colors and try to stay away from things that could be known as "cute". Sexy is the way to go!

I'm a thong girl too. It took a bit to get used to them but now there is no going back! I still have a few cotton undies that get worn upon occasion but not often. Usually for me its commando or thong.

I like the basic black (looks sexy) but I'll admit to having some crazy ones! Teeny tiny pink ones with little rhinestones :p and cut little white ones with "kissy" lip prints on them!

I like the hi-cuts. They're comfy without being too "grannypanty" like. Prefer cotton for daily use, satiny and lacy for special occasions. Mostly solid colors, with an occasional wild print.

My favorites are a pair of black mesh hi-cuts with a pattern made from blue and green glittery thread. Of course, they must be worn with the matching bra.

Oh, and I call them underpants usually. Panties seem too girlie for what I wear. ;)

I've got a nice mix of comfy cotton bikinis in a variety of colors (mostly white, black, or gray, with a few purples thrown in) and cotton Victoria's Secret thongs. I have to wear cottons, otherwise I get yeast infections pretty easily :-/ but I do have some nice lacy satin ones that I wear for Ratbastid when they're going to be, er, removed promptly :D

I don't wear panties. I hate the feeling of them under my clothes. The only time I wear them is for entertaining my sweetie and nothing is over them. :D

I have an assortment. When it is hot and I go to the track or to play tennis it's cotton all the way and white.
I especially like the high rise type.
I use satin and dressier ones for work usually dark or light to go with what I am wearing.

I like those 10$ panties from victoria's secret, the cotton stretchy ones, they are the best. But too expensive so I only have like 6 that I bought at a sale. I hate wearing thongs, I feel like a have a wedgy all day. I have every kind of underwear, too much.

I have all kinds of undies. I have mostly cotton- the kind that come in packs, but I also have the silky-sexy kind, and lots of thongs. It really depends on where I am going. If I am just headed to work, I will wear the cottony because I just want to be comfortable. If I am going out, I will wear the thongs to be fun. The silky-sexy really only come out during sex- either with a matching top or not.

Although my favorite are my red and black plaid silk panties.

I wear boxers because they are the most comfortable. I love tham :)

I've heard rumors thongs are not neccessarily the healthiest things to wear as they can cause infections. Has anyone had any experience with this?

i've been into the cotton for a while. hanes bikinis where they connect at the side by the elastic band only... when i got my piercing i was told to wear cotton if possible because it breaths better than synthetics. and i find when i wear the cottons for a while i grow accustomed to them. but i appriciate all kinds of undies. my favorites are these fitted boy cuts i got at la senza. i like that a bit of ass cheek is peaking out of the back. only problem is i find that sometime they bother my piercing, i think it might be like the way the seam is at the front...anyways. i love undies!

Cotton high cut briefs for certain times of unsexiness... None with appropirate clothing...like..oh everything ;) Jeans has never been a problem for me...but I don't wear them tight either...(maybe after a few more lost pounds!) I really just love underware in any style and color. You could even call it an addiction. :p However, if I had to pick a favorite, it would probably be low rise silk string bikini's in soild colors. Thongs are really great too. It's way too hard to pick a single favorite. :)

I don't have any particular brand, but I have enjoyed my VS and Fredrick's panties- I really love wearing thongs- so comfy, no panty lines- and I like silk. I looove panties, yay! I have mainly pretty panties, that are like biking string. I have one gstring, and I might want more, but then, there's the wedgie factor with those, heh. around the time this thread was originally going on (some how I missed it) I would have said thongs only....but in the last two years I have really gotten where I enjoy normal cotton biniki cut panties or boy shorts style. Black is my color of choice, but red is ok too

Boy shorts are the one style that I just can't wear every day. They're comfy for sleeping, but for all-day use not so much. I suppose it's due to my thicker thighs but they tend to ride up.

I personally find thongs comfortable, no I'm not crazy. I used to only wear bikini briefs but in the heat I find that they end of stretching and growing and getting all out of whack. I hate having to adjust my underwear in the middle of the day.

I also like boy shorts for cuteness and to wear with my more baggy jeans. The lacey kind from Frederick's are great for when I have to wear dress slacks or skirts.

I suppose some experience more discharge than others. I know when I was in high school and college, I was constantly .......erm........ moist. lol But it's different now. I don't make a mess of my hooch unless I'm screwing around. Or of course, unless I leak while on mah monthly or I'm ovulating - which in that case I always wear underwear. If anything, it's just comforting. Oh and if it's 95 degrees outside, I'll deffo be in cottons.

It's kinda nice going commando as it's less laundry lol. And if I have company and I'm doing laundry, I don't have to hide them out of embarrassment.

Re: thongs - alrighty lol. My phat ass could never handle them. I'm Greek, i.e. very curvy. So they dug into my hips and if I was doing a lot of walking, I'd get irritation on mah booty. Perhaps I just can't pull them off............ literally. d'oh!

Many people delight in thongs as a sexy and exciting first layer of any outfit, and you are not alone in appreciating the precious freedom from the plague of the prominent panty line they provide. Roughly $575 million worth of thongs (that's 130 million pairs!) are sold in the United States annually; and at no proven harm to their wearers. At this point no scientific studies exist connecting the wearing of thongs to UTIs (urinary tract infections) or yeast infections. However, many gynecologists report anecdotally that an increasing number of thong wearers suffer from recurrent urinary tract and vaginal infections, and they have ideas as to why this is so.

One way a thong might be a culprit of infection is that it can serve as a conduit for bacteria. Since a thong is a continuous and close fitting strip of fabric, it can easily pick up fecal matter and bacteria from the anus, and if the thong moves, can carry that matter forward to the vagina and urinary tract. One gynecologist likened a thong to a subway car transporting bacteria from the rectum to the vagina. UTIs and some types of vaginitis (although not yeast infections) are caused by bacteria, often from fecal matter, which is why thongs could be implicated in some instances of infection.

Thongs can also leave women more susceptible to infections by irritating the vaginal tissues. The function of underwear is to provide a soft barrier between potential irritants, such as your clothes, and the vagina. In addition to failing to provide that barrier, a thong may itself irritate vaginal tissue by causing micro-abrasions or cracks in the skin, which can leave delicate tissues more susceptible to infection.

If you have a compromised immune system, or are prone to these types of infections, then wearing a thong might be riskier for you. Have you found that you have more frequent UTIs or yeast infections while wearing thongs? If so, you may want to limit wearing them to special occasions, or stop wearing them all together to see if that decreases the infections. For recurring or painful UTIs or yeast infections, you could consult a gynecologist to see what you can do to alleviate the symptoms and prevent future infections.

If you've noticed no particular change in your gynecological health when you're wearing a thong, then you can count yourself among the lucky ones who are not negatively affected by this thin apparel. Here's to enjoying the panty line-free life that you've come to so enjoy!

Usually I really dislike Victoria's Secret. The underwire in every bra I have bought from that place has come out on the side just to cause me pain mid-day.
However, the Lacie thong from VS is awesome. It never digs into my "love handles" like others panties might. (I hate saying the term "panties" out loud, but then again "underwear" is probably a lot worse) Also, the back of it doesn't ummm... ride up like other thongs can.
I prefer thongs under my clothes since there's no pantyline. I guess I could go commando, but I really make too much mess for that to make sense for me. Though if I am only wearing panties then I (and my bf) love a sexy boyshort. They are MUCH more flattering if you have an ass-man...or you just like your own butt
