Igea hair removal products?

Do those Igea hair removal machines really work? They look like home electroysis devices, but I was wondering if anyone has ever used one.

I don't know how many times i've seen one of those igia commercials and had to restrain myself from calling in and ordering. Especially with the epil stop and spray (just spray... and wipe away!!). Plus if you order right away you get a free plush bath robe with the igia logo... an 80 dollar value! Yeah, it looks like a great deal and all that, but i feel like they can't be very good for you. I mean, that stuff just esentially burns up your hair folicals, right? I'd rather pay someone who knows what they're doing to rip my hair out for me then to try and dissolve it myself. And they let you wear fancy bathrobes while you're at spas, too, so you're not missing out on much.

I don't know about Igea, but the Nads chick lied to me...she said it wouldn't hurt, it's great...no it ain't. Don't order it unless you really like waxing to hurt...it's not the usual stinging kind of waxing pain either...it's too thick and goopy (no need to heat my ass) and so its continual pain as you try to get that green shit off your skin.

I saw this one hair removal kit, by Conair, that uses a round disk that feels a little like sand paper and supposedly it removes hair by exfoliating the skin and thinning out the hairs. I have a link..

I don't know how well this would work but it sounds a bit painful. I mean come on sandpaper? Or as they call them 'fine grain exfoliating pads', heh

Annie -

I just bought that yesterday. It didn't work that great yesterday, but the instructions said it can take up to 10 uses for you to get perfect results ("skin and hair apparently need time to adjust" - which sounds totally fishy to me).

Anyway, it's not for use on your face or bikini area. Unfortunately I didn't believe them. Let's just say unpleasantness followed...

On the plus side though, my skin is softer and smoother, and it doesn't hurt at all to use on leg or arm skin. It was a bit warm though. Kind of felt like a massage actually.

I tried that shit, and it does hurt like hell, it took me three showers and I think I even tried olive oil, to get it off of my skin...thank God I didn't do my bikini area!! I want to try that epil-stop spray, because I get such awful razor burn on my..uh..sensitive areas. If anyone tries it, let me know how it goes before I go spend 20 bucks to buy the stuff.

I've tried a number of sprays and creams and waxing. Waxing it too painful for me. My skin is too sensitive for the creams and sprays. Iv'e gotten rashes when I only used half the amount or half the time recommended. One cream suggested leaving it on for 5 min - I left it for one and literally had a burn mark like if I'd scalded my skin. I won't try anything unless I have a guarentee that I can send it back at their expense if I don't like it.

I've never tried that Idea stuff but it does sound too good to be true. I'd not bother with it. If it really works it will take off and there will be look alikes in the stores eventually.

Amen sister, she lied to all of us. I got that stuff to get rid of my arm hair for my wedding and I acctually ended up with big ugly bruises on my arms for three days and that was with both me and the hubby holding this skin tight and all other such nonsence she said to do on the commercial.
