Donation Info

may as well make this a sticky, here is the info to send Hal donations for the TFP

PayPal: Send a private message to Halx to request PayPal account information for donation.

The avg donation amount is $20-25
Out of respect to fellow donors, please make the minimum donation of $5

NOTE: PUT YOUR USERNAME IN WITH YOUR DONATION IF YOU WANT TO GET CREDIT!

richeee 04-20-2003 10:40 AM

Thanks, ZërØ¢ØØ£.
Just went to www.paypal.com
I forgot that they have recipients on file, or I would've donated again sooner.
Stay cool in Japan.

G_Whiz 04-20-2003 04:24 PM

I got a PM from Halx with this info.

Glad to send a donation to keep TFP going.

I'm also glad to see that someone got this info posted.

Go_AVS 04-21-2003 09:48 AM

I tried to set up a new thread but it did not attrack too many views so I am going to repost it here.

I don't see the "donor " above the date when a member Registered like on 3.0. I would like to see the donor recognition added back and I would also like to see more donors than there were before.

Nobody has to give a ton of money but if everyone chips in a little bit then maybe there will be enough cash to have a good back-up system. Right now I am not earning a paycheck, since I got laid off, but I am still going to kick in something. So everyone, please forgo a drink at the bar, or one tip into someone's g-string or wherever a little bit of cash is wasted and kick in some $ for the TFP. I don't think Halx wants to waste another week building 5.0 and I, for one, don't want to see the TFP go away.

Lets not only have 30,000 members again, but lets have a major portion kicking in some cash!

Forgive me if this topic is already been through the board but the donation topic can never be stressed enough.

My money is on the way....

K-Billy 04-21-2003 03:00 PM

I think setting up the tshirt thing again would help get some money.

Antagony 05-04-2003 10:14 AM

I'll donate here in a bit when I know I can afford to out some bling.

Mad_Gecko 05-10-2003 03:35 PM

Donor is not an amount, its a frame of mind.

Give what you can, if you can't give, then participate.

redrum 05-10-2003 05:38 PM

Nowlookit 05-11-2003 10:46 AM

Good Forum, thanx Halx & associates. Never a dull moment. Don't spend it all in one place.

eyeronic 05-13-2003 12:55 AM

Donated when I finally got my money back from a failed eBay sale. Found money goes to y'all.

denim 05-13-2003 05:22 AM

I think I just made an error. I sent $25 via PayPal, but didn't include my userid here. It'll come through with only my e-mail address. http://www.shubs.net/smilies/bang.gif

namatad 05-28-2003 08:57 AM

LOVE the idea of donation/post supported site.
Hate having to pay before I get a test drive.

KeyserSoze 06-01-2003 09:50 PM

I will be glad to snail mail you a check, but to whom do I make it out to??

Halx 06-01-2003 10:32 PM

TFProject

MSD 06-02-2003 07:20 PM

I just gave the remaining balance of my bank account to TFP.

Zooksport2 06-06-2003 03:26 AM

I followed the links.. but I am confused.... (now, now... keep those tongues quiet)
I see a "send donation" to a Andrew Gonsalves.

Nothing suggesting Halarkin.

What the?

Halx 06-06-2003 10:34 AM

yeah you'd never expect to be sending money to a person with a REAL name huh?

platypus 06-06-2003 10:43 AM

Paypal makes this so easy. Thanks for letting me play in your sandbox.

Heck no. But if I am gonna donate hundreds of dollars, I want it to go to the right person. Not some joker I never "met" befor.
Now, wheres that piece of plastic that the missus keeps hidden in her purse. If this bounces, it aint my fault. :)

debaser 06-07-2003 12:12 PM

Ok, I lurked around for a while and liked what I saw.

You shiesters got some bling for your efforts. Keep up the good work and more will follow.

DelayedReaction 06-09-2003 10:30 PM

Glad I saw this thread.

rmarshall 06-11-2003 01:27 PM

I just donated and was wondering: How does Andrew Gonsalves (a k a Halx or Halarkin) know how to match up the paypal payment with the funny alternate identity we have in the TFP?

We'd like to get our browny points and be treated like gods for a day or two.

Minx 06-13-2003 02:15 PM

:D I just came back from the bank and post office.

Sent my donation via express post...should be there in two days Halx! :icare:

*Don't worry about the kidney I had to sell off to cover the exchange rate...it's all good!

richeee 06-13-2003 07:43 PM

Thanks for the kidney, Minx. It was a steal at $45.00 US!!!
:D
anything else for sale? What color are Your eyes?!? ;)

opentocomments 06-14-2003 03:13 PM

sorry but i dont have paypal so snail mail on the way does this mean i dont get i little donor tag. If i do ill be looking forward to that.

edit:i dont have Checking acount so it will be cash fingers crossed that it will get there

motdakasha 06-15-2003 07:09 PM

If you're sending cash via mail, you should go to a store and turn it into a money order. It's safer that way. (You're not supposed to send cash via mail...)

jwoody 06-18-2003 05:54 AM

Can I use PayPal to send a donation from my UK bank account?

I checked their FAQ section and I am now confused.

unityofmulti 06-18-2003 04:08 PM

I'd like to donate via e-gold.

Is there a way to do so ?

Maybe someone honest has paypal and e-gold and could forward it for me.

MacGnG 06-24-2003 01:22 PM

i donated yesterday, figured it was as good a time as any

CheapBastid 06-25-2003 11:20 PM

I know that the idea is to 'donate what you can' but a nice 'recommended amount' would be helpful to newbies, with the statement that any assistance is appreciated.

Think Public Television/Radio. When they do their fund drives they list amounts and bonuses that come with the amounts. Something along those lines might be useful as well.

Halx 06-25-2003 11:22 PM

avg donation: $20-25

duckznutz 06-26-2003 11:27 AM

Just donated for the first time . . . hope I got it right . . . . . . . I am embarrassed it took me so long. I will try to make it a habit . . . TFP is a great place . . fingers crossed my post count keeps me above the threshold . . exactly how do I check my post count? can someone tell me?

duckznutz 06-26-2003 11:31 AM

It might be more complicated but maybe have another password for people who donate regularly? Iguess that makes it a paysite though . . . . hmmmm?

Another thought . . maybe make people wait 3 or 4 days after registering before they can access? That would deter a lot of time wasters . . . . . . and maybe restrict access to the TittyBoard until say 25 posts have been made? Its a tricky one . . i hope you dont just throw proccesing power at the problem . .becuase it will just be a matter of time before you are back in this position again.
Regards all.

Minx 06-26-2003 12:47 PM

duckznutz....in order to check your post count just click on the "profile" button at the bottom of any of your posts.

And you made a very good point about the processing power problem. Halx can shut us out every few nights to prove a point and get people donating but once those of us who have done what we can to upgrade .... we will still be plagued with the original problem.
I say find the problem and kill it at the source. Even all the newcomers that have signed on in the past few days may not have a clue why there are no avatars up (generally speaking) or why there is the big deal about trying to get everyone to donate.
Sorta sad that way.

kyoko 06-26-2003 02:19 PM

I donated...

thank you for a great forum.
this forum is the only place i go right after work

KWSN 06-30-2003 12:49 AM

I guess thats what they're for huh?

tinfoil 07-22-2003 09:41 AM

dropped some your way, Halx. It's an unconfirmed (silly paypal bastards) but I have had no probs before. Hope it works for ya.

Didn't hurt as much as I thought, found out my Paypal acct. has some *really* old information.

Booty Man 07-22-2003 05:17 PM

I donated. Thanks for the great site. :D Do I get the "Donor" thingy in the left hand corner??

porno 07-23-2003 07:39 AM

I'll donate tomorrow if it'll make the titty board come back :D

Though I'm sure the currency conversion will send me broke

EDIT Nevermind! Oh well you saved me a good $30. Auf Weidersehen.

Dills03 07-23-2003 11:08 AM

It took me forever, but I'm finally a donor, I love the TFP!

The.Lunatic 07-28-2003 06:32 PM

I dontated, but all i could spare at the moment was 10 dollars in a month or two i'll add another 20 or so bux to that total :D

Tandem 07-30-2003 08:53 PM

Halx,

Donated yesterday - can you confirm?

jibs 07-31-2003 10:32 PM

I've had horrible experiences with PayPal.. HATE HATE HATE.

Looks like I'll be sending my donation snail mail.

AxelF 08-02-2003 03:28 AM

Darn, I just failed donating... for now. My following aggression is directed towards PayPal, not TFP nor it's galant members and moderators.

I can't beleive it that they require me to wait a month as a new member of PayPal before I can make my first payment!!!!????

They have charged me a fee NOW (refundable on 2nd payment) but will NOT allow me to use my membership until VISA sends me a statement containing a membership number. What's that all about? Heck a credit card is a credit card. I can walse into any car dealer and by a Mercedes on that card.

Bugs the crap out of me not being able to donate immideately.

And they wonder why online shopping is not taking off... duh!

Don't worry though, the cause is worth the humiliation, wait and harassment I am forced to endure.

Long live TFP!!

billege 08-08-2003 01:44 AM

I donated. It was less of a pain than I thought it'd be. Since it was easy, I hope it fricken worked. 'Cause they charged me, so you better get yo money.

onetime2 08-08-2003 10:08 AM

Donated a couple of days ago. Still no donor tag though. I'm sure I'll be surprised to see it one of these days.

mute76 08-08-2003 11:06 AM

Just curious...how long after you make a donation to this outstanding community do you get the little "donor" tag? I made a donation yesterday.

Waiting patiently...:)

Halx 08-08-2003 11:12 AM

I dont have time every day to go over donations.. be patient

mute76 08-08-2003 12:47 PM

Nice! Thanks for the Donor tag!

tj2001cobra 08-08-2003 05:27 PM

OK, I feel guilty about liking this board and not helping. Donation was sent via paypal.

cliv 08-08-2003 07:41 PM

I lurked around for a while...made less than 30 posts since April

Then I got bold and posted a new topic when I needed and objective opinion on something. The replies helped me, so I decided to donate.

maria 08-09-2003 01:04 PM

ok I just sent ma money.. good luck ...

darksparkles 08-13-2003 01:56 AM

sorry but no. If you can, use Yahoo, and if not, there's snail mail (as mentioned above)

Halx 08-13-2003 11:08 AM

Yahoo PayDirect works the same as PayPal, but we cant use PayPal anymore because of their policies. You are able to link your bank account up to PayDirect if you dont have a CC.. it takes a few days though. Don't worry, we'll still be around. Sorry to put you through all this.

BentNotTwisted 08-13-2003 01:06 PM

Hal, I know you're busy, but I was wondering what the change in the PayPal policy was that forced the change.
BTW, it won't stop me from donating.

Bamrak 08-13-2003 02:49 PM

I'm assuming those of us that donated over the last couple of days through paypal are still okay and you will get the funds, correct? ( I donated on 8/11)

I donated on 8-8 via paypal, but haven't heard anything back yet. The money did get where it's suppose to go, though.

brknkybrd 08-15-2003 01:20 AM

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!

I want to donate (again!), but Yahoo will not let me use my Canadian credit card.

What is it about PayPal that you guys don't like?

I'm not angry at you, I'm angry at whatever it is PayPal did to piss you off.

So, I'll send by snail, and it will get to you in roughly 15 weeks, give or take (I'm mailing from Korea).

Now, I can write a personal check, but that account is in Canadian Dollars. Will it be possible for you to cash the check if I just write, say "20 US Dollars" in the amount field? It's a CIBC regular checking account.

I'd appreciate more options for donating -- maybe something you could do in the future.

I read everything. My question has still not been answered satisfactorily. What, specifically, is it about PayPal's policy that forced the change?

Just Curious, no worries, k?

SecretMethod70 08-15-2003 03:24 AM

k, sorry I misunderstood. it's not a matter of us not liking anything. Basically, we're an adult-oriented site and Paypal doesn't allow that.

maria 08-16-2003 03:51 AM

How long before donations get confirmed ?

Thanks.

It's been over a week since I donated.... haven't heard anything yet. The money was accepted, though.

I just hope it got to the right place.
