For President's Day (US)
Not written by me, but I guess this is the most appropriate place to post this, if not, feel free to move it. I didn't think it should go under Political or Literature since again, this isn't written by me.
America Centre of equal daughters, equal sons, All, all alike endear'd, grown, ungrown, young or old, Strong, ample, fair, enduring, capable, rich, Perennial with the Earth, with Freedom, Law, and Love, A grand, sane, towering, seated Mother, Chair'd in the adamant of Time. -Walt Whitman (1819-1892) |
Poems confuse me so much. I do not understand the hidden meaning behind most of the lines. Also the old english type word use confuses the hell out of me.
