How do you like your chocolates?
I like my chocolates at room temperature :) Not cold and hard. I like them soft and easy to chew or melt.
Can't taste it when it's hard :( How about you? do you prefer them after they are refrigerated? [edit~~ Room temp = semi-melted.. sorry people :)] |
How about a choice for not liking chocolate at all... :D
|
You don't like chocolates?
oh my gosh~! That's wrong!! |
Fine chocolates are meant to be enjoyed at room temperature. Refrigerating them dulls them and can cause graininess.
Now there's nothing wrong with a frozen Milky Way or Charleston Chew though! |
I take everything at room temp :) toblerones, ferroro rochers, after 8s, lindts,
my source of aphrodisiac. |
I'm a huge fan of Ice Cubes. They're about the size of a medium ice cube, 3/4" cube. Just let them sit on your tongue and melt (from room temp). There's a slight hint of cinnamon, I think. Whatever it is, it's awesome. I usually found them at the candy stores in a mall, but I haven't looked in a while.

Ice Cubes rock.
But any chocolate is wonderful given the right setting. Preferably slightly melted, at body temperature, running down my gal's midsection... |
Ice Cubes get their signature taste from ground hazelnuts, believe it or not.
I like my chocolates room temperature...something smooth and creamy please. |
I like them plentiful and in easy reach.
|
Room temp; semi-melted was the closest the poll would allow. Chocolate melts at body temperature; the fact that it dissolves in your mouth is one of its charms, since this process allows you to enjoy the flavor to its maximum. Cold chocolate has an interesting texture that some like, but you miss the fullness of the flavor.
High-quality chocolate can be refrigerated for many months with no loss of quality, and I have done that; before eating it, though, I allow it to sit out and warm up to room temp. |
i like it from the fridge so much more so when it has a caramel (or any) soft centre it sort of makes the caramel last longer and when you have it with coffee well heaven must be within reach lol

I hate cold chocolate - it tastes all waxy. Give me soft, yielding, velvety dark 80% cocoa solid chocolate and I will melt on the floor for you.
|
I only ever eat room temperature chocolate, although I remember eating refridgerated Aero bars as a kid.
I definately don't eat any fine or high quality chocolates, so my opinion may be meaningless. |

I like them hard..I don't like to chew it, So it melts in my mouth..Plus it lasts longer that way.
Don't eat much chocolate..But that's how it's done when i do. |
You should have added an option for firm. I don't like melted or even semi melted chocolate, but I don't like refrigerated either. I like them room temp.
|
I like them cold & hard, dark and bittersweet with no shit in them like crspies, nuts.... Just pure chocolate. Mmmmmmmmm chocolate [/homerdrool] Toblerone would be awsome if it didn't have all that crap in it. As it is it is pretty damned good but imagine it with out the crap.
|
I wanted to make the options simple to distinguish ... so semi-melted here refers to room temp :)
Sorry for that, Carn. |
I like room temp too. Melted is too messy, hard is too...hard. Loses its flavor.

Cold and hard... either semi-sweet or bitter-sweet
|
I hate them semi melted or melted. I work in a chocolate factory and if theyre coming down the production belt like that, theres something wrong :|

I like them to melt in my mouth, not in my hands. :)
|
I like them best with caramel.
|
I like em at room temp around 70F.
I just had a box of these http://www.neuhauschocolate.com/ since I visited Belgium and bought them before leaving for home. They were some of the finest chocolates I've ever tasted. |
neuhuas looks like good shit. May have to try it out.:p
|
i like them all the different ways possible... each has it's pros and cons.
|
I like chocolate in all forms. I'm an equal opportunity conoisseur.
However, I do have a slight preference for hard, cold chocolate, but only if it's dark chocolate. |

I'm shocked you have to be the first person I have ever heard of who does not like chocolate. Me I'd like a large order of chocolate covered chocolate |

I'll take a nice piece of Belgian bitter-sweet at room temp thanks. |
I like my chocolates how I like my women, cold and hard....
Wait, that doesn't sound right. |
Cold and hard so you can hold them in your mouht and feel them melt.. mmmmm.. Love it.
|
Chocolate a la cherry, Minte a la blah blah Chocolate

I like them at room temperature - My teeth are sensitive to cold. I am not big on dark chocolate - I like milk chocolate. I really enjoy mint: like Peppermint Patties or Andes; I love chocolate covered cherries. :D |
I LOVE CHOCOLATE ANY OLD WAY - IT'S CHOCOLATE...MMMMMMMMM
|
Love it frozen! But I'd eat it any way...YUMMY!
|
Has anyone thought about vanilla-bars?
Personally, I prefer Vanilla over Chocolate in ice cream ;-) |
My favorite chocolate is dark chocolate dipped candied orange peel.
Room temp, or cold... |
Cold and Hard, but if I just buy them from the store and need my sugar fix It doesn't really matter. Just melting is to messy.

I don't understand how you can "not like" chocolate
:( that's just wrong :'( |
room temp is ideal. cold and hard loses taste to me, and melted is too messy.
|
I like them cold and hard-- after they've been in the freezer for a while. That way I can suck on them for a while-- so good.
|
I love chocolate, it's my 2nd favorite drug of choice!!
Those of us lucky enough to live in the Bay Area get to purchase and indulge on See's Chocolate, a "Happy Habit". Way better than Godiva or most of those other highly marketed brands. Oh & room temperature is the best.... (Those tasting "waxy" have fillers & aren't pure chocolate = cheap stuff) :( |
