Good pubs in Prague, Vienna, Amsterdam
Hi -
In the AM we are leaving for Europe on vacation and I was wondering if any of you have any tips on non-touristy but outsider-friendly local haunts (pubs) you can recommend in any of these cities. We're 100% into the local pub experience but (in Amsterdam) won't be partaking in the Class D controlled substance experience. I can't speak a lick of Czech, can get by in German and don't need to worry about Holland. Any specific pubs you can recommend would be tremendously appreciated. Thanks in advance for any insight. |
Ratsskeller (sorry abt the spelling) in Vienna use to be nice. If you like wine try Phaffstaten which is a little village not too far from Vienna. Monks still run the winery.

Did someone say booze?

In Prague check out either Jo's Place in the Castle District or check out the marqui de sade (atleast I think that was the name) it is on a side street just off the main square in old town... If you like good beer try a pint of Velvet (named after the revolution) ... amazing beer...
Sorry never been to Vienna or Amsterdam |
If I were in Vienna with you I could show you a few places we hung out when I was there the 2 times in HS, but unfortunately I'm not, I don't remember the names, and I don't have a map to find out where it is (I'd recognize the streets it was on).
Besides, you've probably left already anyway. |
Little restaurant in the church at the top of Leopoldsberg in Vienna , absolultly amazing views of the Winnerwald. Unmissable.
And that twisty ass mountain road is so much fun to drive up :D |
