OH MY GAWD! THAT'S FABULOUS!!

Excellent find Soda_Bob!!

Psycho Dad 11-20-2004 06:21 AM

Interesting. Too bad it wasn't used on a porn shoot though.

Seething 11-20-2004 08:06 AM

The amount of clarity when you zoom in is simply amazing. You could spend hours playing "Where's 'so and so' in that picuture?"

PayUp 11-20-2004 09:03 AM

That is by far the coolest picture I've seen.
The zoom feature is unbelievable.

Gopher 11-20-2004 09:36 AM

That's so cool. Here's a challenge for you all - I found a floating head/half torso in the pic somewhere. See if you can find it! (I'll check back in a couple of months to see if anyone's got it - it'll probably take that long!)

minyn 11-20-2004 09:43 AM

thats huge, and the possibilities for use are unlimited!

bermuDa 11-20-2004 09:50 AM

I found several seams including a few half torsos and a car that melts into a bus. doesn't affect the coolness factor though :)

World's King 11-20-2004 10:04 AM

Wow.

I have no idea why that's so cool.

dylanmarsh 11-20-2004 10:12 AM

Completely insane. You can even read the license plates on the cars and see what's in their back windows. I'm sure our governments have even better technology to check-up on us. :hmm:

superiorrain 11-20-2004 10:16 AM

That really is excellent.

I'm searching around it and don't think i will stop anytime soon. Looking to see what people are doing in the houses at the moment. Not many people seem to be near their windows though which is a shame. I'll keep searching, if i find anything worth reporting i will.

Going back to the pic now.

chance 11-20-2004 10:42 AM

That is soo cool.

punx1325 11-20-2004 02:48 PM

Amazing, brings new meaning to Where's Waldo...

NoSoup 11-20-2004 04:00 PM

Wow... you can zoom in far enough to easily read vehicle's license plates...

Simply amazing...

DEI37 11-20-2004 04:21 PM

This is cool. The group of four people near the center...the one chick looks hot, and then I found a part of a car. Most of it's there, but the right rear corner was missing. Super cool.

joeshoe 11-20-2004 06:03 PM

The picture is awesome. This must be like what the NSA sees from its spy satellites :)

jorgelito 11-20-2004 06:23 PM

Man, I wish I had one of those "21" Cinematic Displays" - Great job Soda_Bob, I hope you filed for a patent. Next project: Live images.

By the way, what city is it? Can anyone tell?

jorgelito 11-20-2004 06:24 PM

Somewhere in Canada?

jorgelito 11-20-2004 06:28 PM

Amsterdam?

jorgelito 11-20-2004 06:35 PM

It's bit hard to read the writing, is it in Norway maybe? Nice city though.

DEI37 11-20-2004 06:43 PM

It's looking a little like somewhere in Europe. Like the others...I'm not sure, but that's what I'd say.

jorgelito 11-20-2004 06:59 PM

It's funny, I first noticed something was weird when I couldn't see any signs like McDonalds, Exxon, Starbucks, Gap, Target, Wal-Mart etc. You know, how a typical American city/town. And look at all the trees.....

So unlike LA....

rainheart 11-20-2004 07:51 PM

It's taken in the city of Delft, which is in Holland

Cowman 11-20-2004 07:53 PM

Canada??
ahahaha

the licenses plates definitley point towards somewhere in europe. who knows where tho..(well, probably one of you guys :p )

also a question for you technical guys; if the file size is 7.5 gigs, how are we able to view it in such detail without actually downloading the 7.5 gig file?

Dilbert1234567 11-20-2004 08:06 PM

thats so cool great find.

carrot glace 11-20-2004 08:30 PM

big,bigger,huge!

jorgelito 11-20-2004 08:57 PM

Ahhhhhh! *slaps forehead* Delft!

Well, my Amsterdam guess was kinda close, at least it's in Holland.

Yeah Canada, what was I thinking! I got a little jumpy and started blurting out answers withouth thinking, hehehe!

Wait, Rainheart, how do you know it's in Delft? Was there a sign somewhere or could you tell by the license plate? I think in Europe they have that oval sticker on the back of the car tellling you what country they're from: Like, "CH" for Switzerland, "ESP" for Spain, etc.. If so, where in the "grid" would it be, I'd like to check it out too. I got tired of scrolling around everywhere...

cjgallen 11-20-2004 09:25 PM

SLUG BUG!

Ok, pop quiz, who can tell me what time the picture was taken? Only by looking at the picture.

VitaminH 11-21-2004 09:16 AM

That was fantastic when i zoomed in on the ground in a random spot and could see the individual rocks.

Good stuff.

DarkPho 11-21-2004 01:27 PM

Wow.. the level of detail is amazing. I actually ran across that link a while agao and didn't realise what it was!

JJRousseau 11-21-2004 02:53 PM

That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen on the internet. Well done.

Damn, I found it but got there too late. Anything else to find?

slimshaydee 11-21-2004 06:12 PM

Here's something else for the rest of you to find: find the guy with the blue shirt and brown pants walking and holding an envelope in his hands

Zooksport2 11-21-2004 06:13 PM
