Puppy Breath?

Was playing with a friend's new puppy a few days ago. Something I have thought about previously popped into my head. Why does the puppies breath have that unique smell and why does it disappear when they get older.

It does smell better than cat shit and the other garbage they tend to dig out!

Then "bad" breath of older dogs is usually caused by plaque buildup on their teeth, which puppies don't have!

so the moral is, is you have a dog, take them to the vet to get their teeth cleaned, and often.

Actually, you only need to get their teeth cleaned once every year or two if you brush them at least every other day. Plus, it can be expensive since they usually put them out. The gel also helps. Bones like "greenies" or denta bones also support the whole system of clean teeth.

Puppies have an order as part of a protection system.
