Dreaming of the tfp
 

So...I don't know if this has been covered yet, I did a search, but it's such an off-kilter topic, I didn't know exactly what to search under. Nor where this should really be.

So here's the deal. I had a really creepy/weird dream last night, that actually involved people from the TFP. Yeah. Weird. But it's not so much that. It's the context of the whole dream. Started out pretty normal, I was hanging out at the house of a friend of mine from high school, who goes to a different college. Which was a cool part of the dream, 'cos man, was she cute...

Anyway, So we're hanging out, having a good time. Then the clock strikes midnight (ugh, cliche) and my parents come and they drag me out, saying we're moving, and we end up at this new apartment that we've moved into, and it's a total dump, and our stuff is all strewn across the floor, boxes and crap everywhere. The only thing in any semblance of order is our computer, which happens to be up, running, and there's a webpage of TFP open, music playing...wait a minute, a webpage of TFP open?!! What?!? So, I look around and ask everyone why it's open, and my mom says "Oh, we've been members for a long time now, It's fun watching everyone's posts, even yours, mystmarimatt. And I just look at her incredulously and say "You've been...what?! What are your screen names?!" and my dad walks up and saaaaaaaaaays....

"She's lurkette. I'm ratbastid."

Jesus Christ! It was sooooooooooo weeeeeird, and I was like "What?! NO!! You're...? But HOW?! Why?!" And they proceed to tell me that they have been members for a long time now, secretly building up a big rebel resistance against...um...something or other... and that some of their golfing and card club friends were members too. and they mentioned who all were friends who were members and what their names were.

I don't remember who all was mentioned ("and you were there, and you were there...you were all there!") but there were a bunch of you, and all of you pretty well-known like lurkette and ratbastid. and there was no context for it. none for lurkette or ratbastid. it was all random. and scared the shit out me. And on top of that, I looked at my mom and was like, "but those pictures you posted in Exhibition...oh no. Oh my GOD!!" and she had some explanation for why it wasn't her. But HOLY SHIT...I was so creeped out, I awoke in a cold sweat. I mean, I love tfp, but seriously, i write stuff on here I'd never want my folks to see...ugh... :shudders:

Has anyone else had dreams involving members of the tfp, or the tfp itself. and, hey, if so, was it as seriously fucked up as mine?

(by the way, i apologize to lurkette and rastbastid. for no other reason than i feel the need to :confused: )

Sounds interesting for sure. The only person I've dreamed of off of here, is raeanna74...she's my wife!

There was a lengthy thread called "TFP Dreamers" in TFP v3.

There are also several lucid dream threads in this version and in the journals that were here in which this is discussed. They were well attended.

I'll just say I've dreamt about a weird TFP reunion and there was nudity involved. Mostly my own. Go figure.

I too had a dream a while back. I had pondered putting a few nudes on the board but have been hesitant/lazy/shy about it. I had this dream where I did put my picture up. We went to some TFP get together and although I don't remember all who attended, I do remember being embarassed because I showed up nude. Weird.

I've had a few TFP dreams; so far, I've "met" Lurkette & Ratbastid, Halx, and Maleficent. I won't go into the details (I've forgotten most of them), but I do know that none of the dreams were sexual.

I've only dreamt of one, and he's my boyfriend so I don't think that counts for much.

Although Jude Law was there as well. Which was interesting. Is he a TFP member? ;)

If I actually started having dreams about tfp, I think I would have to take a vacation from the site, cause that would freak me out.

I'm with Averett... I've only had dreams about a specific user, and not the TFP as a whole.

I'd actually need to sleep in order to dream....

That sounds like the type of senario's that happen in alot of my dreams, situation's or people not being what they're supposed to be. I haven't been on TFP long enough to dream about it but can definately see it happening at some point.

This kind of reminds me of the "finding pics of your daughter on the Titty Board" thread. You never know who's who online...

You weren't feverish were you? One time I was home sick and somebody gave me a Soma game. That's a game where you have to build shapes out of these plastic pieces that make up a cube.

Anyway, I dreamt about that damn game all night! Nothing would fit together and I woke up exhausted.

Whoa, thats one crazy dream! Very funny, too! I just love these personal stories.

I've had a few TFP-related dreams myself, the latest one involving a bunch of assorted TFPers (I remember Halx being there for sure, but not so sure about the others) riding really fast bikes down a street in my neighborhood, and somehow causing a head-on collision between two cars. It was pretty twisted... the cars completely crumpled on their driver sides, and I could see a bloody arm hanging out of one of the windows. That one gave me a shock.

Well, I vaguely recall dreaming about going to a TFP meetup, and meeting Halx. It was weird, but it's been so long that I don't really remember the details of the dream.
A screaming ending would have been hilarious. :D

Oh my god it happened, I had a dream about the TFP, I am just a little worried that I dreamed about a website.

I had a dream I was on the TFP without pants... oh wait, aaarrgh, it's true... I hate it when that happens

quite strange -- looks like somebody's been spending too much time on the TFP!

(honestly, though, it could happen to anybody. anything in one's life (or not, for that matter) can be incorporated into a dream, regardless of the amount of time spent on that thing)

tfp hasn been in 1 yet

I had a very weird one last night. I dreamed that there was a user named RedLemon on the board, who wasn't me. For some reason, the vBulletin 3 software update allowed this username because the capitalization was different from mine. He'd already reached Avatar level, but had been posting in areas that I didn't read, so this was the first I'd seen of him. I really didn't agree with the types of postings he was doing, but the mods said he'd been on for a while, so they coudn't make him change his username.

I have had a few dreams about the TFP, but it didn't involve any pictures (probably cause I have no access to that yet), just the typing that I was doing on my laptop. I did remember at the time what I was typing about, but I don't anymore. I only know it was weird and I actually remembered it was related to the TFP.

I dream about the posts from the Titty board everynight? Doesn't everyone else?
