Herbal Medicine Safe? WTF...
 

So.. All night, tonight I watched(listened to) Penis enlargement infomercials. All of them said they were herbal so they were 100% safe but isn't marijuana an herb? So therefore it is 100% safe... right?

Nothing, and i mean nothing is 100% safe.

And by all means, pot is as far from that as possible.

Of course not all herbs are 100% safe and good for you. But infomercials like that rely on the ignorance of the "lower/middle class" who are looking for the quick and easy (lazy) route to improving themselves and their life. They're willing to believe anything that they're told, if there is even a small chance that the claims this unknown stranger on TV tells them is true. Deep down, they know it's a load of crap, but their first thought is "what if it's true!".

Infomercials really bother me, because I see them is a huge measuring stick of how much like sheep our society is becoming...

Thank you DSHEA. Alternative remedies are protected from FDA scrutiny... so many people are getting hurt from the false belief that if it's "natural" its okay.

Forget just weed... What about 99% of mushrooms, woodworm, hundreds of venoms... COCAINE. All naturally deadly goodness.

Not all herbs are safe. Just companys trying to make people think it is. Herbs have the same risk as chemicals, they're just natural.

It's still bullshit. I'd trust some home-grown pot over a mystery herbal pill, and I don't smoke.
