I'm really fucking amazed that fucking, in the non-verb sense, is fucking acceptable. So I could say that girl is fucking amazing so long as I make sure that people know that I'm talking about her looks and not her sexual functions. Fucking awesome!

I searched the FCC page, but couldn't find the relevant quote. I was wondering if they actually used the word "fucking" in their writeup, or if it was "f---ing" as shown in the news quotes. I'll try again tomorrow.

wow I was just having a conversation with a friends today about the very word fuck and all it's different meanings. It really is a great word because you can use it in places you normally wouldnt even put a fucking word and it would sound fuckin fine.

it's about time......it's nice to see this whole freedom of speech thing is working again.

now it's starting to make sense! up here in canada i have many times seen the following censorship: censor the mother, not the fucker part. i thought that was loony, but the no-sex rule explains it i think.

remmeber when they decided that "shit" was okay" and remember when SouthPark had the episode dedicated to saying shit as many times as they could? do you remember the moral of the story?

I remember being a young child, and the POWER that cuss words had... my lips trembled and my body quivered if I should try and sputter out a "fuck you" or even "asshole"... the reaction to these words by other people was just as dramatic.. ... now these words fly out of my mouth as quickly as any other noun/verb/pronoun/adjective, and hardly create a stir... even "cunt" is becoming quite blah as it's use changes from harsh degredation to humerous satire of the female flower...

on a side note... you can always say ANYTHING on television if it's in the right context.. ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, WB, UPN, etc will NEVER be in that context though because they're utter shit. PBS on the other hand... if anyone's been watching the special on the history/culture of Blues, then your ears are probably bleeding ;)

Not gonna happen. Hate to be a fuckin' spoilsport, but that case was a live broadcast and the people who filed the complaint wanted every station affiliated with the network to be fined. The FCC said that it wasn't going to fine them for that one slip. Big difference between a spur of the moment comment by a bozo being interviewed, and a scripted show. Besides, they're saying "bullshit" on NYPD Blue now. Isn't that enough?
