Weather report!

So what's the weather like in your area?

http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/3...rforecasta.png

We're not just having sunshine today folks.
We're having abundant sunshine.

Ace_O_Spades 11-06-2009 08:53 AM

Cold(ish) and rainy in Vancouver today... Highs of 9

Baraka_Guru 11-06-2009 08:59 AM

Partly cloudy, 3 degrees Celsius, feels like -1.

LordEden 11-06-2009 09:09 AM

57 degrees and sunny. Nice day all around.

ikandiggit 11-06-2009 11:43 AM

Hot! (Relatively.)..+13 C (55 F) with sunshine and light breezes. Normally would be -5 C/ 22 F.

What am I doing inside?!

snowy 11-06-2009 12:19 PM

The weather right now is overcast and rainy, but an hour ago it was cool, clear, and sunny.

silent_jay 11-06-2009 04:24 PM

Windy as fuck here in Medicine Hat, never had a steady wind like this back in Ontario, it's been gusting to 50 or 60 KM/H all bloody day, but otherwise it's been quite nice and warm.

aphrodisiac 11-06-2009 04:28 PM

i wish it was that windy here... i'm a fan of flying kites

instead its just wet and miserable, as it has been for the last few days, which really put a downer on the recent fireworks

aphrodisiac 11-06-2009 04:33 PM

in fact thinking about it, there is a certain "murphys law" (aka sod's law) aspect to the weather... if you (well if i) have plans that rely on the weather, they seem more likely to be disrupted than the statistical deviation of the weather would predict

Willravel 11-06-2009 04:44 PM

It's about 65f in San Jose right now, with a bit of an overcast. If it were a few degrees cooler (and it will be in a few hours), it'd be my version of ideal weather.

Haha, yeah I was in Ontario, but figured I'd come west to check things out here, probably going north in a few days, not too sure where I'm going to end up yet.

The girl at the bank warned me I was in 'Hicksville', but it seems like a nice place so far, people are friendly, city looks nice, I do dig the warmth though, much better than in Winnipeg the other day when I got caught in a nice snowstorm on the highway, had to try to remember my winter driving.

BogeyDope 11-06-2009 08:37 PM

It's a beautiful, cool 57F!

But it's December... That should make it feel just a little bit right shouldn't it? But it is warm here - around 0 degrees (32 F) balmy to your 15. No wind anymore, just a bunch of wet snowy rainy slush.

the kind of weather that gives you soakers when y ou walk outside.

Well, of course, everything is relative. :) Thing is, it rarely gets down to the 20s here, and certainly never stays that cold for a week at a time. (I'm in the Pacific NW.)

Happily, the worst of this arctic blast is supposed to slowly go the way of the dodo over the course of the next few days, and we never got any precipitation, so it's all good. Watching the news this morning, it looks like just about everyone in the US is getting slammed with the same arctic blast that started here last weekend.

Hang in there, guys!

Edit: It's currently 13 degrees. Brrrr!

Oh, I like a nice light dusting, too, but after last year's dump, I'll gladly settle for no snow. I was snowed in for a week!

Jeez, it's only 11 degrees this morning. I've got heat lamps and a milkhouse heater going for the chickens, but they don't do much in this kind of cold. Haven't gone out yet to see if they survived the night...

And at least with snow I wouldn't have to go out in the cold. I mean, I have nice cold weather stuff that keeps me warm but still.

Its been a little on the cold side here recently. This evening is an icy 28F but otherwise clear at least the wind finally died down. A bunch of folks from Dubai were in town visiting neighbours over the weekend. They were sitting on the front porch, wearing fleeces, the kids wearing jackets.

It was 35 degrees Celsius, with a 40 degree humidex. I don't even know what that is in Fahrenheit, but it was freaking hot.

Wes Mantooth 07-20-2010 10:44 PM

Weather Report:

My god its been hotter then stink here all summer, hoping for a nice cool off but I think the humidity and heat are going to stick around for a couple more months.

Tomorrows...er today's report...oh look a special weather statement...

"A STRONG BERMUDA HIGH WILL MAINTAIN ITS GRIP ON MIDDLE TENNESSEE AT LEAST THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND EARLY PART OF NEXT WEEK. AS A RESULT, HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN MAINLY IN THE MID TO UPPER 90'S THE NEXT 7 DAYS ACROSS MOST OF THE MID STATE, EXCEPT LOCATIONS ACROSS THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU. HEAT INDICES OFF THE PLATEAU WILL RANGE FROM 99 TO 104 DEGREES EVERY DAY THROUGH SUNDAY. SIGHTLY DRIER AIR WILL INFILTRATE THE MID STATE BY MONDAY, WHICH WILL RELIEVE SOME OF THE HUMIDITY AND REDUCE HEAT INDICES SOMEWHAT."

The drier air sounds kinda nice but whats the point of of a special statement? Its been that hot here since late May.

Well it doesn't sound too bad tomorrow,
High of 93F
40% chance of precip (isolated T-storms later in the day...YAY!)
65% humidity

Right now at 1:42 in the am its 75F, I think I'll go take advantage of that before I hit the hay.
