We've been remiss in completing some things, and I'd like to complete the TFP Awards.

We need an actual awards. We need an actual awards. Some examples are ribbons, medals, statuettes, trophy...

The big one 25x60 and make sure that it looks nice when resized to 10x19.

The something simple and 12x12 is the requirement.


Here are the categories so far:

Tilted Host/Hostess - Given for excellence in welcoming new members to the community.
Tilted Presenter - Given for excellence in creating interesting and original content.
Tilted Mentor - Given for excellence in providing credibile advice for those in need.
Tilted Natural - Given for excellence in becoming a valuable member of the community in such a short time.
Tilted Samaritan - Given for excellence in helping the moderators keep the board clean.
Employee of the Month - Given for excellence in moderating the boards.

You really have to enlarge the hell out of them to see what they are (TILTED across the top in braille, then the award name in braille, split up where necessary, and a monogram.

what does the 15x15 look like?

Like that, but with spaces between characters (16x16 would be ideal.)

I don't actually have any, and the ambien is making it increasingly hard to do anything. I'll get some together tomorrow evening.

How about simpler.. more symbolic rather than literal?

That's what I was thinking. I might cook something up if nobody beats me to the punch.

The 12 x 12 constraint is really hard to do...these are 15 x 15.

Kept it very simple and clear...it may still be too literal but oh well...never done this before heh. Was cool to try.

Might wanna remove the white backgrounds from them first.

you must be using the themes with backgrounds that are white :P

I checked them against all the themes and they are still interesting as is.

Okay Logan and tippler are the testers... anyone else posting here that isn't staff will be tested on as well...

For Natural, a tilted bar would do.

For Mentor, one full sized palm with a smaller white palm of contrasting color inside.

My take on the "Samaritan", helping 'clean up' the boards. I know it kinda looks like a banana, but it's actually a broom.

I will post one once I've gotten the graphics down. I've gotten the coding down, I believe I've gotten the staff process down. I just need a couple more things to put into place like that thread.

forgot to mention that if you hover over the graphic it explains the award, and if you click on it, it takes you to this thread. Again this is just a test, but it will in the future take you to the appropriate thread that explains the awards.

Does not read at all on my forum skin, which has a white background.

yeah I figured it might not work for all the skins...I use one with a dark background...though this white thing is neat :)

But, the ideas are there. Colours can be changed easily. I'd do more but I'd need some feedback first.

my 2c worth (though I lack most artisitic skills) you could probably put a black edge around the white bits to make it fit better on a white background, or have an alternative image based on the forum style people have chosen.

wish that could be the case, unfortunately it's 1 image only for all themes.

I took the two person one and did a couple of updates. I'm not a big fan of the border option - it makes it look too busy, but this could be easily solved with a change of colour - replacing white with something else more acceptable...maybe not green though :)

edit - though I'm not sure it is going to matter - none of the schemes have white as the background to the left column, so how these will look will mostly not matter as much when they are under the user's account info.
